I give it an 8/10
-Top notch action sequences (Batman scenes in particular)
-solid performances all around
-very disjointed at the beginning
-Batman and Superman reasons for fighting could have been better
-JL teases/easter eggs felt random despite being pretty cool
-did appreciate it was more BVS than DOJ

Can we have a rating here on the people who saw the movie??

What did the majority think of the movie?

I just don't understand the big disparity between RT and the great rave reviews of the other people who saw it.

5/10 from me.

I've spoken enough on this movie at other outlets, and I'm tired of it all. I don't think it's a good film, but the comic book imagery is second to none.

There are plenty of things to enjoy that's worth the ticket price. The bad just completely tears it down as a film. There are big problems with editing, pacing, characterization, the conclusion.. some major stuff.

If this movie was just the opening its a 11/10. The opening is magnificent and raises your expectations, only to be kicked off a cliff later.

9/10. Much better than other recent CBMs. I still have to see it again to catch some stuff I might have missed.

In terms of the actual quality of the film, I guess I'd give it an 8 for now. Seeing it again this weekend.

In terms of how I feel about it as a Batman, Superman, and DC fan along with how enjoyable it was to watch this for the first time, more like a 9 or 10. Really great movie-going experience for me.

"Snyder's action sequences are a major disappointment"...This is why just because someone went to the effort of posting a review doesn't mean it's worth anyone's time.

From a lot of people who seem to abjectly hate the movie, they've mostly grudgingly admitted that it's visually good. This is a fantastic example of someone who clearly had a preconceived idea of what they were going to write before the movie came out, pretty much patronizing the reader and deriding the actors and characters throughout.

I feel like a lot of people as well as media outlets went into the movie looking for reasons to not like the movie. I've seen a bunch of reviews so far allude to the rumored prior skepticism from WB higher ups. I haven't seen the movie though so I guess I can't judge these (non spoiler) reviews until I do.

Awesome double rating lol but makes sense actually

I especially liked where she complained that it didn't have enough action for a comic book movie. I mean, I haven't seen it, but the action is actually not the most important part for me. I want a good story, and based on what people who have seen it have posted in this thread, I think it's there, but to hear her tell it, it's just boring because not enough fighting. Really can't wait to see this for myself on Saturday and form my own opinion.

This film is a spectacularly well crafted fountainhead of bile. Its story is not poorly told but it is a story I hated. Many Snyder films are incoherent. This film is very coherent in presenting what I feel to be a horrible take on Superman, which in turn is a terrible take on superherodom in general. This film is every bit a deconstruction as Alan Moore's Watchmen. This film, intended to help launch multiple series and kickstart an entire universe is absolutely awful venue to present such deconstruction.

The worst thing about this movie is that is so well made. It would be easy for it to just be swept away if it were some kind of disjointed disaster like last year's Fantastic Four. Instead I find it to be a dangerous film as its ugliness goes down so smooth in its slick packaging.

The movie is actually successful in the parts that focus upon Batman. Affleck and Irons are great in their roles. We actually see Batman build things and do extensive detective work. Even here though Snyder's stank is rank. This is a Batman is who seems to have few qualms about killing.

So you hate Snyder and you can't relate to a Batman that has been through hell, and you want Superman to be perfect and not develop.

Check.

This is why I entertain the notion that at the two extremes, both positive and negative, there's a lot of bull**** people are trying to say isn't there. How is it that a massive number of people are saying the action in this is absolutely monumental and brilliantly executed but some reviewers like this woman are saying it doesn't have enough? Based on the trailers alone I can tell you that's probably incorrect.

There are a bunch of people contorting their reviews around pre-existing notions, that is a fact at this point.

Snyder's Superman is continuously acts selfishly and is encouraged to do so. Snyder doubles down on his godawful interpretation of the Kents.

Batman in general is pretty great overall but it is a longstanding and fairly essential aspect of the character that he rarely if ever kills. Overall his characterization works but there are some strange choices made with the character. I look forward to seeing other filmmakers work with Affleck.

The turning point between Batman and Superman is one of the most boneheaded interactions ever put on film. That is not hyperbole. It was actually hard to believe what I was watching.

I don't necessarily hate Snyder but I do hate his involvement in this franchise. I didn't completely dislike Man of Steel and went in willing to give this film a chance but I think Snyder's choices are fundamentally wrong for the material.

The dream sequences in this film are either a needless indulgence or otherwise an actual future in this universe and all around a reading of the material that I want nothing to do with going forward.
