I could have written a better article.........but, that's not the point.

That's a pretty harsh essay, man. Your teacher might fail you for it........you kinda attck Spidey a bit much.....I mean,......Spider-***? Whoa....

Btw, Batman STILL has "The" in his name....people are just too lazy to say it.

my God I hope you seriously didn't turn this essay in.

I would have failed you. Now I agree that Batman is cooler than Spiderman, that's not it.

First of all, if there wasn't a question posed like "why is batman better than spiderman?" (which I also seriously hope there wasn't, because then you would have a really strange high school teacher), then it's a good idea to explain why at all it is interesting to know why Batman is better than Spiderman.

Also in your analysis, you should probably not look at it like "Batman could beat Spiderman", but try to explain why Batman is a more interesting character.
People like Spiderman because they can relate to him.
Batman on the other hand has a much more interesting history and mind.
That should have been your argument.

the way he wrote it is just ridiculous. calling spider-man spider-***? yeah i bet teachers love the word *** in essays. and is that what passes as a full length essay at your school? holy lord you are lucky (or dumb)

Why do people like Spider-Man? because like most people his life is far from perfect. he struggles with rents and girls(relationships in general) and jobs like most of us. people identify with him

i understand that people like batman but what does the fact that

have to do with anything. that is PURELY opinion and has no relevance on who is "better":down :down

why do you have to hate on his essay so much. its just a simple opinion on why he thinks batman is better than spider-man. you say its rediculous, lets see all of you who say that write a better essay. btw... big deal, he said spidey ***.... he added that in on here and not in the essay because he knew he couldn't. he is a high school student and u dont need to know more. he wrote a simple essay to get an easy A and some extra credit. :batman:

Because it's bad. And when something's bad people will  say it's bad. Yeah, sometimes it's not pretty; yeah, sometimes it's a bit taxing; but that's part of being an adult, and that's one lesson that's better to learn sooner rather than later. Never say anything you aren't prepared to back up with facts and a spoonful of good logic. No one's going to help you but yourself...and maybe the federal government.

The problem is his opinion is based on incorrect facts and a very limited, equally incorrect knowledge of both characters. Refer back to my first paragraph - if you write crap, people are going to say it's crap.

I'm quite sure each and everyone one of us here could write a better, longer, and more virile essay than what you're friend's provided for us.

Well, at least your friend's smarter than the manager of the White Sox.

And most, if not all of us, haven't a clue how that paper could be worth anything but an F (okay...a D-. I'm such a softie) in any high school classroom, let alone an A.

BATMAN VS. SPIDERMAN
Why do people like Spiderman? Well, no one really knows why. But what’s easier to say is why people like Batman. This superhero is loved by millions of fans around the world. But to be reasonable, there are also millions of devoted fans of Spiderman as well. Batman is by far better than “Spiderman” because he is smarter, has a better costume, and has better resources.

First of all, Batman is better than Spiderman because he’s smarter. Batman’s alter-ego “Bruce Wayne” is a wealthy business man who owns a multi-million dollar corporation and a some odd 20 plus bedroom mansion. Also, he invents every single gadget he uses in combat. Spiderman’s alter-ego “Peter Parker” is nothing more than a college student or a high school teacher or whatever you want to think. This clearly shows that Bruce Wayne has not only years of experience under his belt, but the intelligence to handle way more responsibility that Peter Parker. Also, Peter Parker still lives with his Aunt.

Second of all, Batman is better than Spiderman because his costume is better. Batman’s costume is not only black with a cape and his signature Batman symbol on his chest, but it actually has alternations to it that help him in the line of duty. For example, his costume is fire-proof, bullet-proof, and fits quite well in the washer machine. Also, he has a cape that allows him to fly (Along with a reinforced grappling gun), Sharpened wrist blades and killer boots. Spiderman’s on the other hand is nothing more than blue and red tights with a spider in the middle. Nothing special about it, which makes it easy to shoot, stab, burn, crush, slap, staple, and back into with your car.

Third of all, Batman is better than Spiderman because he has better resources. If Batman were to break or lose a gadget, he has enough money to replace it in one business day. Also, he has a trusty sidekick (Robin), and his Butler (Alfred) to help him with anything he needs, Because a real man with experience can proudly admit that assistants is what can save you in battle. Peter Parker has very little money working as a photographer. If anything were to happen to his costume or anything else, what would he do? Take his costume to his aunt to sew it up and kiss his boo-boos away?!

In Conclusion, Batman is better than “Spiderman” because he’s more intelligent, has an enhanced wardrobe, and has better assistance. With years of training, education, and experience well over Spider ***, Batman easily takes him. Also, Batman’s Alter-ego Bruce Wayne has the same advantages over Peter Parker. Now we know who would really win the battle… :batman:

I'm sorry, I like Batman more than Spider-Man too (just by a bit though, Spidey's still great), but your logic and reasoning is absurdly terrible. If I were a teacher and read that, I would try my hardest to get you sent back to kidnergarten. It's where you belong with that kind of writing.

Also, you know nothing about Spider-Man. Get your facts straight before you try writing an essay on something, you only make yourself look like a fool.

you expect all of us including me to use "proper" choice in words. we're jus trying to make it short and simple. all of you "geeks" on here posting all these long and stupid replies have way to time and thouht into all of this. you tell us how he failed

Haha, I'm being called a geek by the guy who did an essay on why Batman is better than Spider-Man. Isn't that ironic?

This has been done so many times that I want to cry.

Some people are insane here, you're going to have to come to understand that quickly.

But they aren't attacking the essay because he's saying Batman is better and he said "Spider-***". It's more along the lines that he is, well claiming, that this was an assignment for school. And I know that the original poster isn't claiming he or she is a budding journalist or anything...but it was a POORLY written paper even for a high school student.

If you're going to write a paper it needs to have some kind of FAIRNESS to it and some kind of better PROOF as to why you think Batman is better than Spider-Man. From the essay, it's obvious he knows NOTHING about the character of Spider-Man, and even about Batman for that matter, heh.

If your friend is looking to become a writer or journalist he and she is going to have to learn to do some research on the subjects. Because if it just sounds like one big giant ignorant paper.

And around here on the Superhero Hype message boards? Yeah, you're gonna have your cyber butt hole ripped to shreds, it's just the way things are around here.

Christ, in the Spider-Man forums I LIKE the unmasking and I'm a BAD GUY over there.

Your friend just needs to better present his or her opinions without making one side seem like it's completely inferior, when in reality, the two characters are really completely different.

You put the term "Spider-***" in a high school essay? You deserve to fail, both for that remark, an for the fact that the essay is poorly worded and researched

ya not to insult batman fans like myself ..... spidey is better when it comes to fighting and intelligence..... you did go a little to far by insulting spiderman.....

Batman's probably the more intelligent of the two, actually.

he's not betetr in fighting technique, but when tou factor in his strength and reflexes to "fighting", then yes, spidey is superior.

also, their intelligence are quite close in some subjects, but i think batman is smarter, especially in battle.

still, there is almost no way batman can take down spidey.

Well, Batman is smarter. He's on a superb genuis level.

However, Peter is smart.....but he's not reaching his potential. I've heard talks between Web-heads that he could be as smart as even Mr. Fantasic....but since he can't afford to go to a great school, and is mostly skipping school to fight crime either way, that he's not as smart as he COULD be. Which, I think is valid.

Fighting wise? Batman. Batman is just more trained, more technical and is a fantastic strategist. But, Spidey has the edge on him in strength and speed, and he's a great under dog fighter (he seems to always be overmatched in his fights, but manages come out on top enough).
