“Who’s better Spiderman or Batman?” They’re both good superheroes, but one better than the other. I think Spiderman is better than Batman, because he fights more villains, he has super human powers, and he uses no gadgets.

My first reason is Spiderman has to fight more villains than Batman. The villains he has to fight are Carnage, Chameleon, Doc. Oc., Electro, Green Goblin, Hobgoblin, Hydro-man, Kraven the Hunter, Jackal, Lizard, Mysterio, Rhino, Sandman, Scorpion, Venom, and Vulture. He has to fight more villains, so he has to do more. Spiderman has to fight sixteen villains and Batman has to fight thirteen.

My second reason he’s better, is
that he has super powers. His powers are super-strength, spider-sense, night vision, enhanced speed, reflex, and agility, both synthesized and organic ability to produce spider-web, ability to heal injuries in a cocoon state, and able to stick to solid surfaces. He has many powers for the many fight he has to endure. He’s most famous for his web shooting. He needs his powers to fight his strongest enemies. They are Venom, Carnage, and his clones.

My final reason Spiderman is better is that he doesn’t have to use any gadgets. Batman uses a lot of gadgets to fight. He makes every thing that he uses. Spiderman use his natural abilities that he gained. He hardly uses any gadgets to get the job done.

Those are the reasons that Spiderman is better than Batman. He has to fight more villains. Has super human abilities to fight his enemies. He uses no gadgets in his fights. Spiderman has more stuff to do in his world.:spidey:

You forgot to mention such luminaries as the Gibbon, Man Mountain Marko, Rocket Racer, the Prowler, Slyde, the Black Fox, Leapfrog, Frog-Man, the Spot, Kangaroo, Sam Bullitt, and oh so many others.

And don't forget that for more than 40 years Spidey relied on "gadgets" to shoot those wonderful webs of his. And don't forget the spider tracers. Oh, and for the first few years of the original comic he used a tracer tracking device that picked up the signal until Stan Lee made him realize he could adjust the frequency so his spider sense would pick it up. Not that those are gadgets, of course.

I'd continue but I'm laughing too hard. My advice, borrow some money from mom or dad and pick up a few Essential Spider-Man volumes and read them.

Batman could, and would whoop Spider-Man anyday of the week. And your arguments don't really work, for one thing, the amount of people trying to kill you doesn't really reflect how good of a hero you are, otherwise Captain America would look real ***** for fighting the Red Skull every day. Besides Bats, is only missing a few villians (Catwoman, and Talia) because he's such a pimp, their now raising his bat kids  ). Plus Peter relies on gadgets as well, Web shooters being the biggest example of this. And Batman's power lies definatly in his mind, giving him a huge advantage over almost anyone, as Jplaya over on the Marvel boards use to tell us, "Prep time, wins all the time".

Plus he drives a car, he's rich, has about five different Bat groupies, has his own Ward, a Batpole. And his theme music owns Spidey's

Oh and just for fun, I counted as many major Bat villians, I could think of, off the top of my head

Riddler
Killer Croc
Two Face
Joker
Freeze
Bane
Scarecrow
Mad Hatter
Ras Al Ghul
Harley Quinn
Black Mask
Poison Ivy
Penguin
Red Hood
Hush

Don't forget to mention the fact that Spider-Man is using one big gadget right now, called the Iron-Spidey costume. The whole suit is basically one gadget. It even flies, which is making him use that much more than the webs lately.

I don't know what research you did for that critique, but do a little more.

****, I forgot that, he's like Iron Man with webs now :down

I'll second that :down .

Right now, Batman is more true to his character than Spider-Man is.:(
And that is during a bad arc.

I hate that so much, any moron with enough prep time could beat somebody else.

This isn't even a proper topic to discuss, IMO. So much of the appeal of a superhero comes from the readers/fans themselves that aside from easy contests like "Who's better Paste Pot Pete or the Joker?!" you really can't get an acceptable answer to any "vs" match up. Spider-Man and Batman's ideology, personalities, etc. are different, and would appeal to different people for different reasons.

As for who would win in a fight. Well, that's an even more pointless question.

In its essence it's basically saying Batman is the smartest man in the DCU, and given time to actually use his advanced deductive reasoning, he can accomplish things that ordinary men can't. Or at least a lot faster than ordinary men can.

That being said, fans and some writers (Morrison:o) have turned it into something laughable that I hate as much as you. It's a shame too.

One could argue that Batman is better because he doesn't need powers to beat his villains. And the amount of villains one hero has doesn't have much to do with how good he is. Assuming it's not just one or two villains and they both suck, which is hardly the occasion.

Sounds like your classic 5 paragraph essay that they teach you in high school. A little word of advice...in the real world no one wants an essay like that. They want one to show originality not a robotic fill in the blanks. Anyway back on topic. You'll never get a straight answer for who is better. Spider-man is better because I say so and Batman is better because someone else says so. You can't really compare the two.

Thats always been my argument to the Superman fanboy that is my roomate. Yeah Superman is great and all and whoops peoples asses with heat vision and super strength. But christ, Batman does all that and more, without any powers at all. He's crazy or brave enough to fight against hordes of insane foes, and does it all with no advantage, and at times (BANE!!!) with a serious disadvantage.

Besides WHY the F? Does Superman need the Justice League... He can beat all of their foes on his own... I guess he likes company...

the JLA deals with intergalactic threats that superman himself couldnt handle...yeah, he's not gonna call them in to beat Live Wire or Toy Man, but if Darkseid and his Apokoliptan minions are coming to attack, then they might come in helpful, see?

Comparing Spider-Man and Batman is like comparing apples and oranges.

They come from two completely different worlds. Spider-Man is more light hearted while Batman has a lot more darkness.

And, yes, Batman needs to rely on gadgets. He's just a regular human being with no super powers. What do you expect him to do? And you'd think that Spidey would beat Bats because he has superpowers but remember, Batman has found ways to take down Superman...

So, I suppose it's just up to who you like better, haha.

I like both characters equally as they are the ultimate when it comes to comic book characters and superheroes. There is none higher.

Batman would just throw on the symbiot and thrash spidey.

You're crazy. Spider-Man doesn't have any "magic rock" weaknesses like Superman. Spidey is stronger, faster, and he has that wonderful little Spidr-Sense to warn him of danger...which there is no way batman can know about it.

Spidey would web him to a wall, knock him out, and take a pic for Jonah in about 35 seconds.

(I say all this as a big-time Batman fan, too)

....yeah but Bats would then go into that utility belt of his and pull out the "anti-web, disable spider sense" spray he just so happened to develop in the long shot case he met up with someone who actually had some sort of spider sense and webs.....:)

....not unlike the 60's movie when he and Robin were tied to a buoy and attacked by a shark!!...dude had freaking Shark repellant on him!!!!....now that my friend is some serious contingency thinking there!! :)....how d'ya combat that?

/....seriously Spidey'd hand him his azz!!

.

Yeah....it just pisses me off every time I hear about how Batman could hand Spidey his ass. Has Batman lost to far less skilled opponents? Yes!

Prep time prep time prep time....that's the Batman Mantra. About the time he stumbles on Spidey in an alleyway, it's curtains. Besides, even if he had prep time, he's probably just call up Clark or something.

Actually this was a 5 paragraph essay assigned in class. Part of the assignment (for extra credit) was to post this on-line and see what kind of responses we would get. Thank you for taking the time to look this over.:spidey:

You know. Spider-Man could just crush Bruce's skull like a styrofoam cup.

Bat's can't beat Spids. Never will either.

Otherwise, continue with this silliness.
