I was in bookshop yesterday and I was gonna buy but I thoiught ask before making purchase.

So is it good?

No. It was really the hight of the Bat-Jerk stuff. And I found the story to be kind of bad. They got like the most random writers and artists ever. It was almost as if this crossover was meant to just test new talent on the bat-titles. Besides Willingham and Lieberman, none of them have written anything else.

It was all right. If you're a big Batman fan and want to have the full story then I'd go for it. If you're just looking for great Batman stories than I'd pass on it.

Like all crossovers, it's mediocre. Some of it is impressive, some of it is poor. The artwork is, I have to say, very weak. It varies between ultra-drab grittiness, almost completely brown and grey, and almsot Dexter's Lab-like cartoonishness in some of the Batgirl issues.

It does end with a shock, though.

Yes I thought it was very good but you would also want to get War drums which is the lead in to it and then War Crimes which is sort of the wrap up to the whole story.
