She has skills in hand-to-hand combat and in weapons, plus she is one sneaky little girl. With all of her powers after RE: Apocalypse, it would be a no contest. Alice would crush Ash.

Ash is a cult Icon. plus he has a chainsaw for a hand, he'd cut her to bits.
Or he'd use is boomstick.
She might have the "superpowers" but he has the experience with dealing with those who are stronger than him.

Well, considering that Bruce Campbell's acting doesn't make me want to rip my ears out, he's got my vote.

But if we are going just with characters... Ash has a knack for surviving situations no one else can, charming people, has a chainsaw/mecha-glove for a hand, and never has to reload his gun. Very groovy.

The Alice character seems like a super badass character the director made up at the last second to try and get into Milla's pants. "I'll make you the ultimate badass wire-fu badass! Sleep with my face!!"

Alice worked in the first movie, but in the second one she just got stupid and pointless.
The first movie worked as a resident Evil Zero Zero, but then they kill it in the second one by trying to take the games story and destroy it.

Either way it made no damn sense. They had all these game characters to use, and instead they made up a character that is a freakin' super-unstoppable-badass. Sorry, but it's hard to get into a horror movie where the main character flies around kung-fu-ing zombies and dispatching monsters like they were ******ed baby chimps.

If I were to make a Resident Evil movie, i would have gone with Resident Evil I, and used the characters from the game and only the game. Hopefully, Anderson will eventually be outed as a bad producer and lose the little credibility he has. Then a true fan will come along and set thing right, like Nolan did with Batman, and what Singer is doing with Superman.

That's why i say this decade, video game movies got the short straw this time, and won't get better until those like Boll and Anderson are gone, or others will finally come along and set things right. (What ever happened to John Woo's Metroid?)

If the RE movies were like the games, I wouldn't like them, for the simple reason that the RE characters have no "skill," they know how to kill with there guns and thats all. Its better to have new characters that know how to fight like Alice, she is highly trained. If the RE movies were like the games, I wouldn't like them, for the simple reason that the RE characters have no "skill," they know how to kill with there guns and thats all. that whole skill thing makes no sense. Of course the action would have been made different, and things would have been quickened to fit in a 2 hour time frame.(I've seen the game beat in 2 hours, but that guy was GOOD.) The story would of course not be the same, I would keep both Rebecca AND Barry alive in the end. Imagine the one small room scene with the ceiling coming down on film. That could be the best scene ever in a horror movie. The resident evil movies don't have the horror feel, you don't feel like they are in danger, even when some of them die, you don't feel sorry. Even Resident Evil 4, which is an Action game, has more suspense than the movies combined.

It just takes the scary out of zombie when everyone in the film is karate kicking them and doing Steven Seagal moves on them like they were drunks.

The only thing the film really got right was the casting.
