This round will be more mainstream classic rock/early metal and alternative rock. Hopefully a real discussion can start up that way...

ROUND 5, LET'S DO IT:

Led Zeppelin

Pink Floyd

Black Sabbath

Aerosmith

without question, ZEPPELIN!

i dig me some sabbath. im pretty indifferent to floyd. aerosmith just blows.

After I pass on Aerosmith, it's a hard choice since I enjoy Zeppelin, Floyd and Sabbath.

Sabbath for me. A tough one between Sabbath and Zeppelin, but in the end, Sabbath.

Zeppelin, no contest.

Stairway to Heaven
Babe I'm Gonna Leave You
Immigrant Song
Since I've Been Lovin You
When the Levee Breaks
Houses of the Holy

It's just too easy.

The door that The Kinks had left ajar for heavy metal, Led Zeppelin kicked it right the Hell in, leaving Sabbath to follow in their footsteps. Not many things are as good in this world as 'Dazed And Confused' and 'Kashmir', two of the arguably greatest songs...ever.

I had to go with Led Zeppelin. One of the greatest bands of all time, though I like work from all of 'em. Zeppelin just took rock to another level.

i listen to more aerosmith than the other groups so i will pick then

Zeppelin and Sabbath both started about the same time.

I feel bad for Pink Floyd. :csad:

Thank you Chairman. Plus, I always just preferred Zeppelin's more blues based metal, as opposed to Sabbaths' darkness.

Aerosmith but I like some songs from all of them.

Yeah. I mean Zeppelin is my favorite of the bunch, but I'm surprised Pink Floyd gets no love. I guess their fans all went to Zep. Sad. :(

Floyd all the way. Zeppelin is a bit overrated. Love me some Sabbath a lot. I like 3 songs by Aerosmith.

Well no one's voted recently. I guess we're going to call this one for Led. I'll string up a new poll tomorrow, but as always, this will remain open.

This is too f*****g difficult! Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath are tied as my all time favourite bands but I voted for Zeppelin.

Also, I'd give Pink Floyd an honourable mention.

Almost unfair. Four absolute monoliths (much of Aerosmith's modern-day works notwithstanding). I listen to the bad boys from Boston when I drive. On the other hand, who can count how many times in their life they've sung along to "Another Brick in the Wall pt. 2"? But then, Tony Iommi's guitar playing is awe-inspiring, and where would bands like Soundgarden, Queens of the Stone Age, and the like be without Sabbath and some of their more mindblowing stuff?

But then, who could argue that Rock And ****ing Roll itself wouldn't have stagnated and died without Led Zeppelin? So as hard as it is NOT to vote for any of those other three, I must respectfully go with the Zep.

Led Zep took the blues and rockified it to a whole another level that these other bands do not compare.

Pink Floyd is one however I would have put in another category and not compared to the other 3. Also, where is deep Purrple in that list?
