Late, but Stones. We're talking about one of THE bands of the 20th century or Aerosmith, who while a great band (who doesn't love Dream On?) are not even in the same league.

Really the only comparable band is probably the Beatles, and in that case I'd go with the boys from Liverpool. But here, this is not even a contest.

The Rolling Stones are definitely better. As for Aerosmith, their later albums sucked and their early material in the 1970's was better, IMO.

You're right and wrong, bro. It's totally subjective. Rolling Stones are inspirational and heavy hitters, but the significance of a band only matters to the person. If the lead singer of Rolling Stones walked up to my mom, back when they were at the height of fame....My mother would have been like "who are you?". She didn't listen to that kind of music.

And if I met...uh...who's popular with you young people now....umm...Beyonce or Jay Z, I would say "Hey" and keep walking. However, if I saw Motion City Soundtrack or Silverstein, I'd geek out and try to hug them. It's all a matter of the individual. Music is about appreciating what touches YOU not what other people think should touch you.


It's like any art form. I've eaten at Morimoto's, I love him. Some people prefer Bobby Fley or that Mario guy.

I've over-explained. I'm sorry it's 4am here. I should be sleep...
