Battlefield 3

As long as it does not impact the gameplay or fun factor, I could care less about the graphics. The only way I think it could impact is me not being able to see my enemies at normal range, which is absurd because bad company has already proved twice that you can see your enemies in acceptable conditions.

What did BC2 run at? Because that game looked and played fine, so if BF3 is going to be doing the same, im not the least bit concerned.

cod does it on both because it doesnt have destruction, huge maps, and vehicles, these current systems cant handle all that at 1080 or at 60fps

Cod isn't the type of game that needs level destruction, huge maps and vehicles though. It's a twitch shooter like Counter Strike.

EVERY war game needs destruction. It just feels off when you cant use an RPG to take out someone hiding behind a small concrete barrier.

As for the vehicles and others, yea i agree. CoD is all about the individual, so they dont need the maps and vehicles to achieve that.

I've been reading up on the reasons why they were doing the 24 player cap, and it makes sense. The size of the maps, the graphics detail, the destruction, player/server bandwith all have to be taken into account. The devs said that they would be looking into ways to increase the console cap, but not at current gen technology. Meanwhile, some pc players are whining about the 64 player cap, sheesh.

Whom and where? I can't really see people complaining about that, since I'm pretty sure 64 has been the standard for that since 1942.

Does anyone still play BF 1943? I still do and it's amazing that 2 years after I got it, I still love playing it and I can still get into full games. :yay:

Great investment for a $15 downloadable game.

Yea thats a great example of how downloadable games should be.

I dont play it much anymore tho because i hate the fact it doesnt have a hardcore mode. Its not fun shooting half a magazine in to an opponent and him still not dropping.

:funny:

I've had those moments, though I hate being a sniper a lot of the time in the game (even though I line up bodies :cwink:). If you ecounter someone head on with as a sniper you're screwed.

Well, okay but it still seems the majority of people there are fine with 64, though. I can somewhat understand the reasoning for why some of them want to see a larger cap (they are just presenting themselves in...horrible ways), but I think 64 is enough.

64 is fine.

It always felt huge for me in BF2 in those full 64/64 lobbies.

Yea it ran the same. When I click "news" on the top google bar regarding Battlefield 3 it's all over the place like it's some sort of great revelation along with (what should be) obvious stuff. It's pretty stupid. Gaming media full of hipsters with styled hair.

Fixed :P

What was that? I'm havin trouble classifying my error. Not a grammar one per se, and not a spelling one either. Maybe it's a logic one. If it's all the same, I'll just shine your boots...*shines wolvieboy's correction-nazi boots*

I think correction Nazi's a bit harsh... I prefer pedantic bastard :P

I've just seen so many people use the old 'I could care less' line this week and it's driving me bonkers. If you COULD care less, then that actually means you care. It's COULDN'T care less lol. It's just one of those annoying sayings that has slipped into the lexicon but doesn't actually mean anything.
