Okay, I know that technically this game does not exist (yet), but c'mon... It's high time Lucas Arts ponied up a next-generation installment in the Star Wars Battlefront series. Even though Battlefront 2 was the most successful Star Wars game ever, going back to play it is pretty hard to do after being so spoiled by modern fare like Battlefield Bad Company, and especially Warhawk on the PS3.
Lucas Arts' split with Pandemic is probably the main reason why there has been so little activity regarding the Battlefront franchise, although LA is not unfamiliar with farming it out, which they did for Battlefront Renegade Squadron for PSP. There were rumors a few years ago that the next Battlefront would be commissioned to Timesplitters developer Free Radical, although after the commercial and critical failure of their latest game Haze, coupled with several years of silence surrounding Battlefront 3, it seems highly unlikely that they would be involved.
However, just because Lucas Arts is remaining mum on the subject of Battlefront 3, that doesn't mean we can't discuss it. Personally, my favorite developer to succeed Pandemic would be Incognito, since I absolutely love Warhawk, and I think they could make a better Battlefront 3 than Pandemic themselves. It's not likely that it would happen, but I can always dream...
