Ok, I'll admit it...the movie actually looks fun and entertaining in a dumb sort of way. I'll go see it. After all, that's the point of a movie...to be entertaining.

I want him to be facing off against the robot/alien that's staring down at him from his command ship and Neeson stares up and says "You sunk my battle ship." in a real badass way and then launches missiles to blow the thing up.

Ok, I'll admit it...the movie actually looks fun and entertaining in a dumb sort of way. I'll go see it. After all, that's the point of a movie...to be entertaining.

Exactly. This movie just looks to be entertaining Summer blockbuster fare and nothing more, just a fun way to kill two hours of boredom at the theaters. Besides, what were people expecting from a movie based on a board game with virtually no plot other than to sink the enemy's battle ship?

Mariah Carey wasn't all that bad in Precious. In fact, she was quite good in that one.

I was thinking about Glitter but to be honest singers or models are usually bad when they try to do a movie.
I didn't saw Precious but if I am not wrong it was a movie WITH M Carey not FOR M Carey and writing that make me realize Battleship is a movie with Rihanna not for her so chances are she will not be the downfall of it.

I can't really think of any good alien invasion movies. Okay, maybe Mars Attacks, but only because it mocks the "genre". And possibly Independence Day, if you're bored. Really bored.
