That article was a very good read. This could surprise a lot of ppl. I hope it does.

Kind of like Rise of the Planet of the Apes and Real Steel?

Both of the premises of those movied kind of sounded dumb on paper, and they could have been in the wrong hands. But, since the people who worked on both actually took the material seriously, they turned out really well.

That's sort of the same vibe that I got from reading that article. The person working on this isn't just like, "Oh, this is based on a board game? Let's see how many references we can throw in to please the fans!" He's actually trying to make a fun, entertaining film, but not one that undermines the audience's intelligence.

I'm only watching it because Liam Neeson is in it.

having kitsch and sarsgard as the leads is already better than transformers lol

Good examples TheWiseGuy487, especially because both those movies surprised a lot of ppl. I loved them both.

I love how Faraci calls other reporters out for set visit crap and here he is.

Anyways, I'm always rooting for berg but this film looks to be another Transformers film but without the Transformers or rather the scenes where Optimus rolls his sleeves up and wins the audience over. Rather another Battle LA.

That article just reminded me how much I want a Halo movie. :(

It looks like a ripoff of Transformers and it doesn't look good at all. I don't see it surprising anyone but people have such little taste it could make lots of cash for all I know. I just know that I don't plan on seeing it.

Aye, I don't plan on seeing it either, in fact I don't plan on seeing anything, I'll just wait until it comes out and then see how I feel.

Liam is still saving up to get a nose job, in fact, he is saving up to get a completely new face, as he is too embaressed about anyone finding out he got a nose job.

I enjoyed the trailers and this looks like the best bad movie to come out next year.

Film is art, and people are entitled to like what they like regardless of others telling them what they should or rather, that they have little taste for doing so.

I like to look at sun flowers, next someone will tell me I should be looking at trimmed roses cause there's more "taste" and work to be appreciated. Movie audiences are more honest then critics I find. These days anyways.

I heard they are organising special drive-in showings of this movie.
What they are going to do is have two simultaneuos showings, with both screens sitting back to back with one another, and they will alllow both audeinces to throw projectiles over the screen at the opposing audience's cars and whatnot. You get prizes if you manage to smash a windshield, someone going for a snack, someone going to the toilet(you stunk my battleshi*!)...so, fug all of these 6 min Batman preview tickets, i think these are the advance tickets to go for.

I agree. I love the Transformers films, but I also love my small indie flicks, too. It's like music; do I always want lots of drum and bass in my tunes? No, sometimes I want some Kanye, other times I want some crazy dance beats, and other times I love just listening to scores from soundtracks. Art is (or should be, rather) so diverse and not just for the audience watching, reading, or listening, but for it's creators as well.

If it's not Mozart, it's tasteless.
Makes no difference if it's Britney or the Beatles. Good thing that doesn't matter to anyone though.

You're ****ing cool. Anyone who disagrees with you is not.

Apperently, you're only supposed to like Terrence Malick films, and some Lairs Von Teir ****. The lowest you can go is Nolan. Any lower and UR HAVE A POOPY TASTE.

I think the person who only watches crappy art films has the worse taste. :awesome:

I enjoy good genre films so I don't know what the **** you guys are talking about. Nowhere in my post did I say that I didn't like all genre films and that I only like small dramas. Those films can be just as bad as the big blockbusters if not worse.

I love genre films but the Transformer movies are bad and so are the Twilight movies for that matter. I'm fine with dumb fun movies too but this movie doesn't even look like good fun, it looks like those boring awful Transformer movies that I hate so much. Don't accuse me of being a ****ing snob just because I can't stand those boring Transformers movie. Get pleasure from them all you want but I think that they aren't entertaining to watch.

And also I do think that moviegoers are getting dumber and giving their movie to the dumbest genre films around.

P.S

I'm not up Nolan's ass like other fanboys I actually criticize his films when they deserve to be criticised.

And Terrence Malick is a wind bag who ruined Tree of Life with his long pretenousness and I haven't seen one Lairs Von Teir film.

What's interesting is that "Critics" have no problem with fast food films such as most comedies. Hangover got great reviews, Evil dead same thing. What's more the internet seems to love them too often times granting them cult status.

However, god forbid some filmmakers mix global action pics with wild comedic elements. There's no substance in that. Very curious to see the reviews for this film next year. Either way it will be drowned in agenda. I anticipate many Transformers/Michael Bay references. What I'm curious about is weather they will be used for positive or negative aim.

how does this look boring lol

looks like some damn nice action looks damn entertaining

i am just going off trailer while battle LA was bad from what i hear'

you would be lying if that film's trailer did'nt get you pumped as well

I need more from my movies than Purty CGI.

Also when I give my opinion on this ****** trailer I'm not talking about critics so I have no idea why you keep bringing them up Marvin. I'm saying that I SEE SPIDEY think that Battleship looks just as uninteresting and terrible as Transformers. I don't care if the critics like it or not.

The critics (and fanboys) were too easy on the mediocre "Thor" so they can be just as dopey as audiences at times. They are still somewhat above them.
