So should the character be in these movies? If so, how should he be portrayed and who should portray him? My personal dream casting would easily by Giancarlo Esposito:

Seriously, watch him on Breaking Bad. He's effing brilliant. If the film isn't so lucky as to be embraced by his performance, here are some others who have been suggested in the other threads:
Jeffery Wright

Lance Reddick

Damn, it would be a toss up between Orlando and Giocarlo. But I think Orlando takes it. He can play arrogant intelligent a**hole that Baxter was in the Mirage and 4kids toon. Just check out his performance as the band director in "Drumline".

When did they change him from a white guy? With him maybe we could finally get a decent fly.

In the original Mirage comic he was Black. They change him into a white scientist for the Fred Wolf toon because the producers thought for some reason, a black nerd getting bossed around would be racist. ( ?????), but two years later, we got Urkel, so go figure.

I really don't understand that logic myself, a nerdy black scientist would somehow be racist, but a dumb as nails black thug (Bebop), getting bossed around was more acceptable ?

Haven't seen it (or anything with him really). I'll have to check it out. I can't say I'd be especially disappointed with any of the folks mentioned.

Well, to be fair, kids who missed his first episode would have no way of knowing Bebop was black. I still think it's pretty dumb though. Partially their fault for choosing to make him a stooge rather than a psychotic hardass. Although that's probably not the sort of image of black people they want to promote either. There's just no pleasing the PC crowd.

Wow really love all these...but Jones might be my favorite

Also I think Mos Def is Also someone I can see in the role

To avoid having to many bad guys in one movie, maybe introduce Baxter Stockman in the first movie as a scientist in a minor role with connections to April O'Neil either past or present who discovers & becomes obsessed with the turtles & by the end of the movie he ends up in Dimension X. If there is ever a second TMNT movie he then returns as Baxter Fly. It would definitely take more than just 1 movie to do him justice if they ever planned to use him either way.

Id like it if Baxter was Krangs Subordinate....be Krangs tool for the human world....I also want baxter to be completly infatuated with the Turtles.... as a man of Science their existence questions his entire belief in Science...which could lead to him trying to duplicate them and him become Baxter Fly

I wonder if they'll skip over Baxter Fly for now because how similar he is to Curt Conners / The Lizard.

So you're kind of looking for a younger version of Joe Morton (maybe best known as Miles Dyson from Terminator 2)?

Do you just find him to be ridiculous or something?

Baxter was never originally a giant mutant fly (or a white guy). That was an invention of the Fred Wolf cartoon. He eventually turns into a cyborg. That's how he was written in the original Mirage books and was also adapted in the 2K3 animated series.

Whoa....I had no idea baxter was like that in the 4Kids Toon

He looks like a badass in the Blue Suit

But he wasn't always that badass. There was a time, where he was just a head.

Still better than 80's Stockman though. I don't mind if they have to bring Krang, Bebop and Rocksteady over from the 80's cartoon, but the rest should be from the Mirage comics. Such as black Cyborg Stockman.

Yea I remember him just being a head...but not that other stuff...never seen that...that's definetly the way they should go

I don't want either Baxter Fly or Baxter Cyborg. I just want good old scientist Baxter. :)

Mos Def was mos def a cool suggestion. :P
