Bayonetta

IGN gave it an 8.2. That's still a good score.

Even though it's an 8.2 and it's a good score. but listen to the guy reviewers complaints. it's still enough to turn people who want to play it off of the ps3, period. alot of potentail fan/ buyers even though they see a decent or passable score don't buy things over reviewers complaining like he does. even with scores like that.

If game trailers has the same near response though. hmmm, like what happened with wet and few others.

Then there's a problem.

Yeah, the score isn't a bad one or anything, but if you read the review and watch the video review he makes it sound like the game is almost unplayable in comparison. As I said earlier, though the difference has been noted by others, none of them seem to indicate it's as drastic as this reviewer makes it out. I still suggest to Spider to wait for more reviews and word of mouth

Thats the only review that scored it that low and an 8.2 isnt a bad score at all. According to Metacritic, all the other sites/mags are giving the PS3 version at least a 9, in spite of some issues that it may have: http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/ps3/bayonetta. Based on what Ive read, Id reccommend anyone who has both systems to get it for the 360, but if you only have a PS3, then that version should be fine enough

Load times in the pause menus made me almost not finish The Force Unleashed. It was such a pain in the ass.

I can't really tell the difference between the 360 and PS3 version of Bayonetta...all looks the same to me.

Well...what about the demo? The demo I have on the PS3 seems to look and play just fine.

I downloaded the PS3 demo when it first came out in Japan and then downloaded the 360 one when it first came out in the States. The PS3 versions looks more washed out and some of the textures and details are missing. Though it was noticeable going from one to the other I honestly didn't think the PS3 version looked that much worse or anything. If I didn't have a choice, I doubt I would have been bummed with just the PS3 version, graphically speaking

I understand that the PC is the GAMING PLATFORM OF THE DAMNED but is there seriously no chance of it coming to the PC? But then again, we would probably get a crappy port

I played the demo. The combat is fun but pretty challenging (I did Normal). I don't know if I'll pick it up though.

I've been doing pro gaming this past year. and the games are fine there a few issues still. But both the 360 and the ps3 are having issues of there own , as you can see. with complaints and so on on certain occasions. but their all in the same boat on what people like and dis like in cetain areas. one not really worst then the other.

The pc is still alive and kicking and doing very well. the only ones/people that have an issue with it are those that don't want to use it or make it more complicated then it should be. their most likly the same type that buy a new car after the first new car they bought had a break down and they say "they don't want to deal with that car any more" even though it was the first time it broke down for them. you might as well just not bother with cars at all from that point. But any ways.

Now seeing that the guy who made this game has also made the "Devil may cry " series and there are few games of that series that made on the pc which I own. It's very possible this game might come there. Eventually. in a special edition. But I'd wait for that guy that made both these great games to actually say so.

BTW the two last game on the pc were DMC3 special edition and 4 and they were sweet games. Not crappy at all. unlike how some people would think or like to think . But you should use the 360 controler or that logitec controler that looks like the ps3 controler if your used to that. since they work best for the pc.

you should find those games BTW. if i were you and find out for your self.

If it's successful enough I wouldn't be surprised at an eventual PC release down the road.

DMC3 on the PC was crappy and was a horrible port. It was nearly unplayable. Its the kind of game you need a gamepad for and for some reason the right analog stick was used for motions and theres no way in the game that you can change that.

hmm all that means is that there two realses versions of that I said i have the special edition that was tated to have fix'sand extra's. so I don't have one you said is a crappy port. sorry.

So I don't have the one you said is a crappy port. sorry. And i said you needed a game pad and what I meant that you need a 360 "controller" or a logitec one that looks like the ps3 "controller." "controls" and "game pads "are the same thing man. Are you feeling ok?

It's how I've been playing Batman: AA for the pc as well. my buddy told me it's best to use a game pad for that game for pc as well. when it come to games like those two. it's shooters you use the key board for. mostly.

And i had to do some binding of the controls for that ( batman:AA) one. at least where it comes to having him(batman) move forward. cause when you do that(mover forward), he walked back wards for some reason and I had to put left analog stick that made him walk in revers at first to get him to move for word. which was weird but i fixed that.

Any way all you had to do was reprogram the game pad. I had less of problem with the "Special edition of DMC3" as it is titled for the pc. Just remember i don't have DMC I have the special edition. It's kinda like having crysis war head added features compared to just crysis, fixes and what ever. same game but with differences. mostly controls at least for this one.

The PC only got the special edition of DMC3

oh yeah. well mine been playing well though. what ever. the point was if the guy that made the game is the same one that made Bayonetta
which we know it is him it's likly we'll see it on pc. but again he still has to say it. That's all. I'm still standing by that as well.

I've been doing some reading from both regular players and reviews and I have got to say; I think some people really do not understand what parody means. I can't help but face palm at some of the stuff I've read about the 'over-sexualized' stuff in this game, the G4 review went as far as to refer to it as misogyny. Misogyny!

Is it not obvious to the rest of you guys that post here that it's a joke? That it is not taking itself seriously in any way? I haven't even played the game, but just look at everything we've seen, it's so damn...goofy as all hell. It's like looking at Platinum's previous game, MADWORLD, and saying 'Oh my, that's too violent.' How can take that, it just doesn't, what the..

If you're just seeing the game as an outsider, it does kind of look like a giant t&a fest.

I think it's a little borderline. I guess it's all in good parody fun, but they are still showing a lot of T and A. Like that scene in a few of the reviews where something cuts her clothes off across her ass and chest. Yes, it's goofy, but it's still showing her bare ass while she moans.

I can see where G4 is coming from.

Yeah, it's definitely an action beat'em up. I still can't understand how people can really take all this sexual stuff seriously when it's about as tongue-in-cheek as you can get. It's certainly not misogyny

LOL, I already mentioned before about her walk animation. Straight Project Runway.

Okay, well you edited after I replied so I guess I should give a proper response. G4 is way off, that's not misogyny. Just showing nudity, having T&A and making sexy women isn't misogynist in nature. That's diluting the meaning to something it's not as far as I'm concerned.

Secondly, how exactly are you suppose to parody something without showing it? It's all in the context, and obviously the game is doing everything tongue in cheek in nature. To return to MADWORLD, there was all kinds of ridiculous violence and gore, but it was all so goofy it's obvious that it's poking fun since there's tons of games out that who do it without the fun, cheese or irony. It's the same with Bayonetta, all this stuff; her super hip swing while walking, exploding clothing, always having a lollipop, etc. It's presented in such a silly context, I personally can't see how someone can seriously look at it and be offended or, at the very least, recognize how silly it is. Unless they're just afraid of sexuality in general despite form and context, and in that case, they got separate issues.

Yeah, I mean even just that is so silly and over the top that I can't understand how people can take this so seriously when you have such goofball stuff in it.

I suspect this game is going to be big in the drag queen and gay and lesbian circles for some reason.
