Batman Begins BB Limited Edition DVD coming 3rd quarter 2008

this sucks, im on the phone with BB right now trying to figure out WTF!!!

EDIT: I just got off the phone with them, they too said that it is in the box, So High-def takes a backseat to the standard. HUH, doesn't make any sense!!!

Just as I suspected. I went to Wal-Mart, and while I was able to get the 2-disc edition of Gotham Knight, they didn't have the Begins giftset. In either format, DVD or Blu-Ray.

The cheapest that I have seen it is on Amazon. $33.95 with free shipping. Best(Scam)Buy is selling it for $39.99. I will be purchasing it from Amazon with the Dark Knight art book that comes out on the 22nd.

i went there too on my lunch break and my walmart just had the gotham knight. i just went to bestbuy instead and got the blu-ray version there.
BTW that prologue looks nice in hi def

I work at Circuit City and we have both versions, standard dvd LE for like 24.99 and the BluRay version for 40. I actually scanned the BR version two days ago in hopes that it would ring up...but it didn't.

FYE.com had it for 26.99 and I would have had them match it.

That's the thing about CC, if your your scanning prices and lets say you seen it at Target for 25 but CC had it for 39 we would not only match the price but beat it. Our mark up (as well as Best Buy) on BluRay's, DVD's, CD's ect is horrid because they're not our main drive ala FYE or Suncoast (even though BOTH those places tend to be over priced in store.)

I doubt the LE's are THAT limited. Nothing movie wise is ever that limited.

My brother just left BB empty handed. The lithograph is ONLY available with the standard def box set. WTF!?!?! Yeah... let's put the exclusive item that everyone will want in with the inferior format. Let's push the hell out of hi-def and then backpeddle with our exclusives. Whatever.

Assclowns. Oh, and anyone thinking that they will be able to "trick" BB into giving it to them, unfortunately the litho is IN the standard def box. And in the end... is that even really a friggin lithograph? It must be the size of an oversized baseball card. BLECH!!

its in the SD version onlyyyy. and for those of you going to pick one up, if your gettin the lithograph one make sure the box has the best buy exclusive sticker on the front...my best buy had the regular CE of the SD dvd and one with the lithograph...if theres no BB exclusive sticker on the front then theres no lithograph in it!

Hey all, new to the boards. Has anyone else noticed that there is NO Dolbny True HD Audio on the BR Batman Begins. it is stated ont he case and in the menu, but my reciever willonly decode it as Pro Logic. So i put in Gotham Knight.. and there is the true HD audio.. i put in Casino Royale.. got it..Is this a defect in the BB discs? Thanks for your help!

i got Begins on blu-ray for $21 at Best Buy today. Great quality & awesome special featues. esp. the TDK prologue.

If you're going to buy the DVD Giftset no matter what, you really are better off getting the Exclusive edition from BB. Note that I also pricematched CC's price today...

Also not to drink a tall glass of Haterade, but those complaining about the Blu-Ray getting the shaft over a lithograph have nothing to complain about. This is the beauty of the two different format versions. Each has something that the other package does not. We regular dvd people miss out on the prologue (in Hi-Def mind you), as well as the comic included.

You're not missing much with the flash drive (photos are all old).

I skipped out on getting it.

I'll hopefully get the Blu-Ray giftset as soon as I can get a PS3 (and Metal Gear Solid 4), so I'll go hunting for the blu-Ray set as soon as that happens. I figure I'll get the blu-Ray version anyway as soon as I got a player for it, might as well get that one and save myself the cash on something I already own.

I did get the Gotham Knight dvd (awesome movie too), the BB exclusive Steelbook dvd case too.
