Once again David, I must say you need to run for some sort of public office. The people of the U.S. could use a man with your heart and compassion as President or congress. With the fan base you have here you might even win.LOL I don't even think it would matter that your in Canada.

Thinking about the progress of this suit reminded me of when we were all scrutinising the news footage of Bale in the pre-batsuit.

David, remember this discussion about whether or not there were thigh-belts attached to his belt/harness in those scenes?

Yea....I ended up knowing about the thigh straps before the film opened and thought of our little discussion on them and realized right away I was wrong...and now every time I see the film...I think I've seen it 6 times already...anyhow every time I see it and he's in the presuit I think about how I was insisting they weren't there...LOL!
I cant even watch the movie in peace now..hahahahahahahahahahahhaha.

I cant give one to everyone...as much as I'd like to but let's face it...no one forced anyone to post here and I'm thrilled at all the people who took the time to show their support...offer suggestions...critiques...and heck, even those who said my work sucked.

Ok...I guess the cat's out of the bag....

The details of the contest will be outlined once I post the cowl pics. If you commented in this thread until today....before I mentioned the contest then you qualify to enter.

The contest will be open to all people who live on the planet earth...LOL

The only condition I am laying down is it will only be open to all those who commented on this thread...or any other related to this begins project of mine..other areas of the SHH in other words...as of TODAY!!!

I will be making a list of all the names who chimed in since day one...be it for support, criticism...whatever. If you took the time to comment on this then the contest is open to you...even if you were not suppportive of what I'm doing the fact that you commented is fine with me.

It will be a contest that everyone who wants to can participate in. There will be an open vote to narrow down the finalists...then I'll decide the winner from a top 3 or top 5 list.

It's that simple folks.......
I'm deeply moved and humbled by how you've all supported me on this and it's not even done yet....as a result I want to give something back to the community.
I cant give everyone a free suit but someone will take home a part of this costume as my gift and thanks. Again, cant do it for everyone so I figure a cool contest where the contestants are judged openly by everyone on their work and narrowed down to a certain number of finalists...then I'll decide the winner.

Mods...are you cool with this? I tried emailing the Admins months ago to get permission to do this when the views were only at 50,000 but got no response. Please let me know if this is ok and not against any rules.

I have a new camera but cant get it to work....I'm not much for digital stuff...computers, eh...I think by now you all know that's not my territory either.

I'll get someone else to take them tomorrow for me so you can actually make out the details.

I'm still polishing it up...but even though it's not 100% done you can see just how close I am.
The pics I posted a while back with the leather suit and the begins cowl were just shots of the cowl 'plug' used for a second mold....this is now going to be the mold I make for the wearable cowl.

Again...sorry about the bad pics. My new place is being prepped for the studio and the lighting so far is nothing to write home about..not to mention that demon of a digital camera...

I hope you guys can make out something from these crappy pics.....

looks great david. And you know, thanks for being generous enough to give away some of your work to one of us! I know when I'm done with something, be it a painting, or drawing, or sculpture, I wouldn't be to quick to give it away if it looked as good as your cowl or if I put as much work into something as you have.

Even after all this time, you continue to amaze me David. I can't wait to see the full costume in it's full glory (you obviously had much more success with this than my Scarecrow mask disaster project, but you still didn't make me feel like crap!).

I looked in every page, and found I wrote a coment on page 26 (thank God)! Ironically I asked about the sculpture and the mold, and you said the sculpture would be destroyed. I'm glad you didn't destroy it right away, hence this contest.

Ask me, sell the sculpture on ebay and live like a king!
