Read it it's just a rumor recap and some speculation by Mark Hughes
Read if you like the guys work but I didn't spot anything new.

Watching the Logan trailer today was great. It felt like a Western, and it really seems like they're trying to do something different. It reminds me of how people talked about The Dark Knight being a great film in general, not just a "comic book movie", and I think Hugh Jackman and James Mangold are hoping to achieve something like that. And that got me thinking about The Batman.

Ben Affleck is a very talented director and many have talked about him almost as the new Clint Eastwood at Warner Bros., in terms of being an actor who became an acclaimed director for the studio. Someone on this board mentioned the other day about how Affleck's solo Batman film could be almost like his Unforgiven. I can't tell you how excited that idea makes me, and seeing the Logan trailer reminded me of that same vibe. Assuming the film is as good as the trailer makes it appear, I hope Affleck can achieve something similar, and maybe even better, with The Batman.

We still don't know if there are any villains other than Deathstroke, but having recently acquainted myself with that character for the first time by reading his first appearance in the New 52, I can totally see Affleck portraying Deathstroke as a dark parallel to Batman, with the former's penchant for violence, killing, and bloodshed having extra resonance because of the deaths Batman appeared to cause in BvS (and which caused so much consternation among fans).

Just watched a recent IGN interview and Ben said that the role for Babs is "Wide-open" and that he's been touching up the script.

Batfleck on his upcoming Bat-solo:

“Last night I spent (time) working on the script, I’m in full-on ‘trying to get it right mode’. It’s not the kind of movie that you can fail quietly at. You have to really be sure that I have something that I feel really confident about before we go forward.”

The interviewer trying to trick him into confirming Barbara Gordon's involvement in the film. :funny:

I don't know who I'd cast for Barbara (Amy Acker, maybe, if they go an older route in line with Bruce and presumably Dick) but I don't really see Kendrick in the part.

I'm really curious what the cinematographer situation will be like for this film, just because it doesn't appear that Affleck has a go-to guy on that front.

What about the guy who's doing the cinematography for Live by Night, that one looks good so Batfleck could hire him for the BAT solo.

In 2007, Hacksaw Ridge actress, Teresa Palmer, was set to portray Talia Al Ghul in George Miller’s Justice League: Mortal. Sadly, that film was cancelled, and never hit the big screen, and with it, Palmer never got to play the iconic Batman villain. The actress appeared in this year’s Lights Out which performed unbelievably well, making over $149 million against a budget of $4.9 million. Palmer’s latest film, in which she co-stars with former Spider-Man actor Andrew Garfield, Hacksaw Ridge, is set to hit theatres on November 3rd. So, while she never got to play the daughter of Ra’s, does she still want to portray the role she got so close to doing? The short answer is yes.

In an interview with Screen Rant, the actress expressed her desire to appear in the upcoming solo film:

“I was going to be her. I think Marion Cotillard played, I don’t know how to pronounce her last name by the way, um she played Talia Al Ghul in one of the Batman’s, I remember thinking, okay well, obviously she’s going to play Talia Al Ghul, but if there’s ever an opportunity I would absolutely love it. Put it out there. Can you put it out there for me?”

Teresa Palmer looks younger than 30, plus I've never seen her in anything that wowed me.

Eva Green is the perfect Talia Al Ghul for me. And before you say she should be Selina, I would prefer Charlize Theron or Carla Gugino.

Also saw this tidbit from the Mayimbe's article

But our insider says that neither Talia al Ghul nor her dad will be in “The Batman” — or any DC film on the horizon.

I expected this to be honest. They had a huge role in Nolan's trilogy.
