Bendis interviews Slott

People were always throwing things your way, like coloring assignments. This was in the '90s, when there were too many damn comics and none of it was being done by computers. So all you needed was a set of markers and a coloring guide. Inevitably there would be some book that was five pages short of coloring and they’d say, "Give it to that guy over there. You! Color! Now!" And then you'd color it with your feet–and that explains a lot of stuff in the '90s.

rofl!:)

I loved this interview. Dan "The Fanboy" Slott. rofl waffle

Seems late froom reading it. But whatever, It's still okish. Dan Slott is awsome and I love the fact that he is a con junkie.

Guys I want to meet Dan Slott!!!!

Slott rocked per usual. Bendis however, I found a little overbearing and going the whole 'oh, look at that little Slott go, ain't he cute?'. Maybe that was just me.

Bendis: Favorite video game?

Slott: Oh, that is so f---ing tough because I don't know if anyone has told you, but I have every damn system. Favorite video game of all time? It's got to be "Sinistar." I’ve loved that game ever since I was a kid. And I've yet to destroy Sinistar three times in one game. Then you get to home systems. "Earthworm Jim: Special Edition" for Sega CD. Then for PS1 you have to do the first ever "Spider-Man" game. That was amazing.

That man knows his stuff

What an understatement. No one loves Bendis like Bendis, baby.

I have to add that Bendis steered clear of the Thing and GLA.

'

I wonder why?

Slott: No, It wasn't Al... Stop! I'm not going to keep doing that. [Laughs] But he was a nice guy. I was like, "Why did you do that?" He was like, "Oh, this job was crap. I just did it for the money." I forced him to take it. I was like, "Throw that out somewhere else." I was so fearful that Mark Gruenwald or Carl Potts would walk by and go, "Did you just rip up half a comic and stuff it into this trashcan, art-returnist-boy?"

LOL! Art-returnist-boy! :snicker:

Bendis: Here's the thing. There is never any difference. It's always six to eight guys. I could name the guys that give me a hard time. That's how few it is. But they really like to give me a hard time.

I'd be disappointed if Gambit8370 isn't one of them.

Bendis is sadly mistaken if he thinks only "six to eight guys" give him a hard time on the Internet.

If guess Bendis was playing it safe by not mentioning Hulk.

Yeah, I think there are about 6-8 people who don't give Bendis a hard time here on Hype.

Bendis made a comment that it was unbelievable for the Hulk to have rampaged across America for years and never killed anybody. Although he didn't include the exact words in his Illuminati comic, the implied reason that the Illuminati shuffled Hulk off to space was because his rampages created a lot of damage and probably killed people. Slott maintains that the Hulk has never intentionally taken an innocent life and cites the fact that the comics never show him intentionally taking an innocent life as proof. He shot down Bendis' argument that it's ridiculous for the Hulk not to have killed by countering with the fact that it's ridiculous for many super-powered characters not to have killed, given the damage they create (Thor and Iron Man were examples given, if I recall correctly), but we believe that anyway so the Hulk shouldn't be an arbitrary exception.

You would never know, because he deletes those posts off his site with lightning speed.
