I just heard Bendis on Sirius radio on Howard 100 News. He was saying how that Howard Stern really helps out the comic industry whenever he mentions certain comics on his show. He said he was thrilled years ago when he was listening, and Howard mentioned Ultimate Spider-Man. He also claims he's had mentions of Howard in some form or fashion in his comics at least a dozen times.

Yup. i used to listen to Stern down in Miami years ago, and he's a big comic nut. His top five:

Superman
Batman
Spider-Man
Fantastic Four
Daredevil

Howard Stern is like the biggest fanboy ever, and no, thats not a compliment.

Stern is beyond overrated. I seriously don't get what's so great about anything he does.

But, have you heard Stern on Sirius, where he can be truly uncensored? I would guess not. I didn't listen to him before he switched to Sirius; but, I don't start a morning without him now. I'm constantly laughing on my way to work. Plus, once you have satelite radio, you just can't go back to terrestial radio. The music has absolutely no ads, and even Stern's show often goes over an hour without a commercial break.

So his ability to drop a whole mess of F-bombs and be overly vulgar is part of his appeal? I can go toa middle school for that.

Your view of Stern is the same as how people would view comic books as being juvenile without really investing the time into researching what they are talking about.

No, not really. I've listened to enough of his shows to know thats all he's about.

Howard stern is a demi-god,and a comic book fan! He is what I will be like 30 years from now, surrounded by hot girls.

Yes, really. I'm sure the people who call comic books juvenile would say they've read quite a few of them, also, and know they are for kids and geeks.

I present to you, the Howard Stern show demographic, I think thats all that needs to be said.

Your honor, I rest my case!

You're doing a lot of assuming here, and coming off as an ass. I don't like Howard Stern, deal with it. I'm not stopping you from enjoying his show.

Actually, I would say you came off as an ass first by saying "his ability to drop a whole mess of F-bombs and be overly vulgar is part of his appeal? I can go toa middle school for that." You compared my liking of Stern to that of going to Middle School. Plus, by saying Stern is nothing but "F-Bombs and be(ing) overly vulgar" would be if I claimed you are were just one-dimensional in how you like to push people's buttons. I know you're more than that; and, I know Stern if more than f-bombs and being overly vulgar.

STERN! Hanging's too good for him! Burning's too good for him! He should be torn into itsy-bitsy pieces and buried alive!
Opps, wrong Stern.

So you're not denying it?:o

Um, I didnt compare your liking of him to middle school, I compared him to a middle school overly horny teenager. Wow.

Stern IS overrated!

I used to watch his E! repeats in high school like it was crack and I was a TV-****e... I'm glad I grew up!!!

There's nothing of redeemable value coming from his shows. Sorry.

But you've got to admit, if you could make it your job to get busty women to undress in front of you, you'd do it. :D

You compared listening to him as listening to conversations in Middle School...thus, it stands to reason from what you said that my appreciation for him would be the same as my appreciation of Middle School conversation. If you didn't mean that, then you were typing without thinking of how your words were coming out. Knowing what I do know about you, I know what you were trying to say, and it was insulting my taste in what I like to listen to.

And, I'm not denying that he uses the "F-Bomb" or that by some people's taste he might be "overly vulgar;" but, you can clearly see that if that is your only interpretation of who he is, you are focusing on a extremely small portion of his talent. I'm saying your judgement lacks clear interpretation of the man, his abilities and talent just as many insult our enjoyment of comics.

Talent is a word used loosely here. Take what I said how you want, frankly, I could care less. I know what I meant so thats all that matters. Fact is, I don't like Stern, you do, we will somehow co-exist.

What I like is how we are all suppose to "grow up" by denying things that we, as men, actually enjoy, like the appreciation of women and their bodies. Or, as we "grow up," we should discard certain shows and things we've enjoyed in the past, like comics, video games, and certain tv shows that might have base-humor. Sorry, but when I'm around my buddies, I'll swear, talk about women as sex objects, and just have an all around good time without having some person tell me what I can and should say.

Which pretty much proves my point. I don't need to listen to Stern to have the same type of conversations.

Actually, all it says is that parts of what I enjoy about Howard is stuff I'm not going to deny myself, just because some people tell us we have to grow up. Like that stuff, it's not all I'm about, as those who know me on the hype know I don't go about swearing or talking about hot women all the time.
