Benedict Cumberbatch is Doctor Strange

Rudd will finally get his chance to shine in a tentpole for Ant-Man.

I always found it funny when people said Cumberbatch is overexposed, but people don't consider 2 things:

1. He's only been in 2 tentpole franchises (and one of them he didn't physically show in).
2. He's never been the lead in a tentpole.

He's in a popular TV Show, and has done a bunch of smaller movies, but that's it. Cumberbatch represents more of an organic rise to stardom as opposed to what Hollywood did with Taylor Kitsch and Alex Pettyfer.

If anything, this demonstrates to me that fanboys seem to think that showing up frequently in fancasts = actual exposure.

He is probably singed up for at least three movies. I don't think they have anything in their contracts relating to TV appearances. Guest appearances like Jackson popping up in Agent's of Shield aren't things I think they negotiate for when they sign up for roles.

3 movies is the minimum, which is 3 Strange movies. but I guess he will show up in some other movies too, Avengers 3 or 4 or maybe both

Supposedly Boseman is signed up for 5, which would presumably include Civil War, Black Panther Infinity War Parts 1 + 2, and Black Panther 2 - unless Infinity War just counts as one movie in the contracts. I'd imagine Cumberbatch's contract is similar, so 5 or 6 movies.

I'd say 5. If they got an actor like Cumberbatch, they definitely want him to be a franchise star. Also, that was the sticking point with Phoenix was the number of movies, so I'd say it definitely a handful of movies. You don't sign on to one or two as Marvel hero with your own movie.

Well, some of us don't watch every show out there. I've heard people ***** about actors being cast because they had seen them in like one thing five years ago.

Maybe, but I don't want to see alot of parallels to Tony Stark.
