This has been a year with some killer action in it,so nominate 3(and only 3) that you think were the best......this thread can stay open until Monday night when i will get modlips:-)heart:) to close it and then I'll make a poll of the top 8 consisting of the sequences with the most noms in this thread

My noms

1)The Chesapeake bay bridge sequence-MI-III

2)Free running crane chase -Casino Royale

3)Plane sequence-Superman Returns

**** the plane sequence in Superman, man

the other two are nice tho

I would possibley say

1. The whole movie Crank
2. Captian Jack Sparrow stares down the Kraken-Pirates
3. "We have guns, all you have are your fancy knives, and your Ka-ra-te" V for Vendetta

i'd go with either the plane or the 'saving metropolis' scenes from superman returns, or 'V's last stand' from v for vendetta. or, (even though i hated the movie) the kraken scene in dead man's chest... that wheel/sword fight scene was crap, though.

or um... yeah, that's all i got.

Final Kraken did kick ass, I liked the wheel sword fight, very creative, though definatley not best action scene of 06

the whole movie of Crank is the best action scene of 06, cause that movie pretty much didn't stop, once it started, and it was sweet

Anything in CR. Seriously....that was some of the best action I've seen in one film in long time.

Everything, from the way he just murdered those dudes in the beginning, to the chase scene in Madagascar, to the Airport chase scene, to the staircase fight scene, and the Paris building finale.....

cosigned!

1. Airplane Scene - Casino Royale

2. The Wheel Sword Fight - Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead's Man Chest

3. Plane Sequence - Superman Returns

Hey,
JUst wanted to say thanks for the info. Now I just need to find out where I can get material on those styles. I am glad to hear from you; I didn't expect such a quick responce. COmics, Action figures, cartoons and martial arts are my life. A friend and I are trying to get a small company going that focus's on cartoons and comics(that might lead to action figures). WE have downloaded the "Blender" program but we don't have the manpower to get this going. I know that we will never be able to compete with the top 2 but we are hopeful. I have dozens of story and characters floating around in my head. I am great at writing but my art work isn't up to par. MY friend on the other hand, is a great artist but his love is with computers. He is an electronic engineer and is trying to get us all up to par with the "Blender" program. So I am looking for some people that share the same interests and passion to get this ball rolling.I have some original character and story ideas and my own version of G.I. Joe. As you might have noticed, Batman, Wolverine, and G.I. Joe are my favorites. So we are in the first step to getting the ball rolling. We just need a few more people, preferably someone that has some artistic background. I can draw a little, but I am by no means Todd McFarland. AS far as writing, I have that covered; that is until there are seven to ten titles floating around. SO if there is anybody interested, point them my way. At this point, this is just for the love of doing it but hopefully, we will be picked up sooner than later. When that happens, it will be a "real buisness". So again, thanks for the info and if you know of anyone that can draw pretty good and would be interested, let me know.
Hope to hear from you again. it was great hearing from you.
C-ya,
Gary

That's opinion, I personally think they're where many better, the three I listed earlier, the bridge sequence in M:I3, the opening chase with the high wire crap in Casino Royale. The plane sequence was cool, more from a technically aspect for me, but just as the rest of the movie went, it obviously didn't wow me like it wow'd you

1. The Last Stand battle
2. Jean Grey vs. Professor Xavier
3. Casino Royale "Crane Scene"
4. Superman "Plane Scene"

Well opion on liking something sure but from the standpoint of how to create an action sequence using camera movement, editing, sound effects and music it is pretty perfect, the fact you hated the movie so much maybe means you were at the point of not caring when it happened.
