No Country For Old Men is my clear winner. My rankings-

1. NCFOM
2. The Departed
3. The Hurt Locker
4. LOTR
5. Gladiator
6. A Beautiful Mind
7. Crash

Haven't seen the other three.

I'm just not all that big on No Country for Old Men. I enjoyed the movie, but it's hard for me to think a film is the best of the batch when it doesn't have a climax.

Slumdog Millionaire (2008) - I hated this movie, it was total crap, so every pivotal moment in this kids life pertains to a question he's asked on Who Wants to be a Millionaire?!?! Really? Maybe if they took out the Who Wants to be a Millionaire parts it would be better, but seeing as that's "glue" holding the movie together it completely destroys the movie.
Really? The implausibility of the questions made you hate this movie?

That seems awfully shallow.

I thought Pans Labyrinth won a best picture award. Was it just nominated?

It was nominated best FOREIGN film....which I find to be one of the most unfair categories because once you get a best foreign film nomination you have no chance at a BP nomination. I wish foreign films were given a chance at BP, films like Pan's Labrynith and Let the right one in definitely deserved more recognition

Definitely agree there. I enjoyed PL more then No Country to be honest.

I'm not even going to lie, I did too...that was an AMAZING movie. However they are each very different and I love them both very much

Yeah, they were definitley very, very different. And I enjoyed No Country, I just didn't go nuts over it like most people did. I don't know, like I said, it was hard for me to really be behind a film that didn't have a climax. I'm really not sure which film out of these I would choose though. I find myself wanting to go with films that didn't actually get a BP win. I loved Pan's Labyrinth, I really liked Master and Commander too, that just had the unfortunate timing of being released with ROTK, The Dark Knight is an obvious favorite for me, but I don't know if I would say it's the best picture of the decade. And other films, like Prestige, the Illusionist, and Memento, all of which didn't even get Noms (I think) I actually enjoyed more then many of the winners on this list.
