best comic based movie ever

i was wondering whateveryone elses favorite comic based movie is. mine is probobly transformers but i need to see 300 because i heard its really good

Well, you could have looked around the Superhero Hype! boards, or just looked at previous polls, or looked on Wikipedia, or Goggled 'superhero movies' or 'comicbook movies'....just a few pointers in future.

Hellboy wouldn't win the poll though, so don't worry about it. Spider-Man 2 and Batman Begins always win.

I'd like to nominate Asterix and Obelix Take on Caesar and it's followup Asterix and Obelix: Mission Cleopatra.

Both hilarious and very faithful to the Goscinny/Uderzo comics and yet even better. Monica Bellucci as Cleopatra.

I went with the original 1990 Turtles movie. During TMNT Mania it could have been so easy to sell out and make a live action version of the cartoon (like the sequels) instead they kept their integrity and churned out a very faithful adaptation of a dark and gritty underground comic.

The X-Men movies rock major ass...while I'm still confused on why anyone would vote for spidy...the Spider-Man movies were entertaining at their best but far from being anything but mediocre compared to X-Men.
300 would be a very close second for me, perhaps even tie with X-Men it was an awesome movie and the way the special effects blew me away.

Yeah, quite a few are missing, these things need more thought, cut out Elektra, BnR, catwoman and steel as they really aren't anyone's fav, but then you could do most of them at least.
