The best of the three ?

I wonder how good Spiderman will be in comparison to these ? :word:

That's the whole list? Been a few other rebooted

All three are great but i would put Casino Royale and Batman Begins in front of Star Trek, because they both entered the psyche and emotional core of their main antagonists a little more than Star Trek did.Star Trek might've been more fun but the other two were denser, more laid-back story telling and had better, more convincing villains.

If i had to choose between those two,i would choose BB strictly because it laid the foundations for TDK which in retrospect makes BB even better and thought-provoking.On the other hand,Casino Royale promised something the sequel didn't deliver.

Picking between those three is like picking between a Scarlett Johansson,Angelina Jolie and Megan Fox...it's a matter of preference but all are beautiful in their own way.

All three were made by competent film makers with respect to their respective franchise.

Regardless of the others reboots I voted Star Trek, it was the best in my favorit genre science fiction.

Batman Begins
Casino Royale
Star Trek

Thankfully they all worked. It's hard to believe.

I have to say Batman Begins because coming from what Batman used to be, from Tim Burton to Mr. Shoemaker, it's was a huge series leap. Casino Royale....... you can't consider that a reboot since it's still a James Bond film that will be lined up with the previous Bond films, so you can't consider CR as a reboot, especially since it has M.

Batman Begins
Star Trek
James Bond

I loved Casino Royale but out of Bond and Star Trek, i'm more of a Trek fan.

The new Robin Hood could be added but these are the big three, and. DIRECTOR, I'd say Casino Royale is more of a reboot that Star Trek - which kept the same continuity as the previous films. But that's all just semantics. All three are reboots.

For me, possibly somewhat predictably since we are on a superhero board, Batman Begins is the tops dog here - followed by CR then ST. But its real close, all three are fantastic films and I look forward to seeing the universes they create continued.

Its really too bad Quantum of Solace was so out right terrible. Hopefully ST follows BBs lead with a TDK level sequel. Kinda depressed that Nolans next Bat-film will see the end of his amazing universe, or worse, have it shoe-horned into some lame cross-over world.

BB gets points for being first to take the leap as well.

Star Trek...it had the most difficult source material to work with...plus having to keep the fans interested as well as bring in non-fans

I think Batman Begins is the worst of the three.

If Casino Royale didn't have a bloated first act, I would've voted for that.

So overall, Star Trek for me. Visually, it blows the other two away.

I'll hold judgment until I become the last person to actually watch Star Trek. I will say, however, Batman Begins and Casino Royale are both friggin' great.

Casino Royale for me.

I'm far from being a Bond fan, and on the otehr hand I am a bat-fan. But I found it to be the better movie.

Batman begins was good, but in the end it showed poor action and a good share of bad dialogue.

And I couldn't stand Star Trek. That's a movie I'm not watching ever again. It felt like a big-budgeted TV sitcom about the original concept.

Batman Begins.

Casino Royale took everything away that made Bond exciting (at least FOR ME), Star Trek is a mess.

Hard choice, but as a none trekkie, i went with Star Trek. This move could have been a train wreck but it pulled off an amazing re-boot.

But Star Trek had amazing action and majestic visuals. :csad:

Batman Begins because its a great approach to a material that had already originated 2 great movies. A fantastic movie. It brought a different life to the genre.

Casino Royale its a very good action movie , but i wouldn't put it in the same league as Begins...its not even my favorite Bond.

Star Trek to me is too much simple minded. Fun but nothing extraordinaire. I think that defines basically every single thing Abraams does.

Begins narrows Batman's origin and doesn't show the depth of training required to be the world's greatest crime fighter. It takes more than ninja mysticism to be Batman. Alot more.

The action was piss poor in Batman Begins. Katie Holmes sucked the life out of every scene she's in. Gotham isn't Gotham, it's Chicago. Everything about Bruce's childhood seemed forced and the fact that he replaces his childhood with strict crime fighting training is completely omitted. The movie drags. And the costume makes Batman look like a frog with a felt cape.

The only reason people think it's so great now is because of the popularity of TDK.

I thought Batman Begins was great in 2005.

Just curious, have you ever actually been to Chicago? Most people who make that claim have not.

Is that why Begins outsold Revenge of the sith in DVD sales ?

I'm calling complete and utter horsecrap on this. At one time Batman Begins was even in the IMDB Top 100. For a while it was even in the top 80. This was when it was first released. It's still #107, but TDK's release has actually hurt it because a lot of people are convinced TDK is better. I don't think it is myself. Begins is very good in its own right and I loved it the first time I saw it.
