Which do you guys think was the best one on one in the movie, simple question, but a big debate at the same time.

That's actually a really tough decision, as I greatly enjoy each fight sequence. I've not seen the movie for some time actually, however, I voted for the first scene in which Hellboy faces off against Sammael. An excellent sequence, and I especially like how the fight breaks out from the museum, to the street then to the subway. :hellboy::up:

I'm planning on buying the directors cut as well. Is it much different from the theatrical release and worth the purchase?

I actually perfer the DC because it fleshes out the story a little better plus you have all these wonderful extras including a video cast commentary that's a blast. So for me, it's definately worth the buy.

Its not that much different, its only ten mins longer after all, but it is better than the theatrical cut as it gives us some more answer, as well as fleshing out both the story and the characters.

Thanks guys for your helpful comments. :)

I liked the 2nd Hellboy/Sammael fight. The one where Hellboy hits Sammael over the head with the pay phone.

^While it was the most emotional fight, i didnt think it was the best one.

I may be biased as Kroenin is my fav character in the movie

^He was a great character, but i wish his fight with Hellboy would have been longer.

I prefer HB and Sammy in the subway.

HB: You missed!

Sammy: grunts 'no' and shakes his head

HB: Ah crap! as the ceiling collapses onto him.

I'd say that was the best one as well, loved the part you quoted.

Yeah I like the whole Hellboy and Sam fight in the museum and streets etc.

All fights were awesome though.

^I'd say all fights were good, but nothing spectacular, i hope they really step it up for the second movie.

The subway fight was good too. Hellboy getting knocked off that train by the conductor, having the train run over his head... I love that moment when he feels his horns and he hurts himself by how hot they are. :woot:

It was good for an opening fight, but the one in the actual subway was more intense and desperate IMO, hence why i liked it better.
