The thread is simple enough, there have been many times in the various CB were the Hero's have saved hundreds from disaster, just pick what you think is the best one!

Mine is SR, but i think they are all good in their own way!

I realize that I'm probably going to be the only person to vote for Hulk, but my logic is sound. In the rest of these movies, it's what Spider-Man does, or the X-Men were there to do. The Fantastic Four sort of fell ass backwards into it, Superman, ... he's Superman, and Batman was there to save the city, but also for a cathartic sense of justice and betrayal. In short, they were "saving the day" because it is their job and in their character(s) to do so.

Hulk was acting mostly on instinct, and had been pursued by the military for almost the entire length of the movie. The fact that Banner came out just long enough to save his attacker just seems more substantial on a psychological level.

I totally agree with you, I loved the Hulk movie, and that is one of the best parts!

Superman Returns: Saving the plane/shuttle.

They showed he had to put alot of effort in to it. I liked that it wasn't he flew up there, crabbed a wing, and waved to the pilot (where'd I see that?). He had to struggle with it, looked more realistic, well if Superman was real.

X-Men: Stopping Magneto's mutation machine reaching the world leaders

Heroes - collective term
Hero's - belonging to a hero

Yeah thats what i liked about it, it wasnt corny in any way, and at some points it actually looked like Superman could fail.

Thing with Superman Returns is you could have put New Krypton in it because that was a public rescue of many as well in a matter of speaking.

^Yeah i was thinking of that, but i just didnt put it on in the end as i was thinking of situations were people were in immediate danger, and in this scene i did think they were.

For me its spider-man stopping that train. Because it took Peter everything he had, and it was just a great scene. Hes like a reguler dude with powers, and he has a not so great life, but he will give everything he has to save people.

X-Men: Stopping Magneto's mutation machine reaching the world leaders didn't really feel great or heroic. They basically just stood there until Scott got fed up with waiting. :down

Spiderman: Catching MJ and the tram on the bridge
Now this one had feats of strength, a nice show of skills and drama to boot! Good Job !

Hulk: Hulk landing on the jet to stop it crashing into The Golden Gate BridgeLast second dramatic save from someone who really had no stakes in doing it. Great shot  !

Spiderman2: Stopping the rampaging trainbeyond the feat of strength involved, this proved how careless Peter is with his ID. not good :down

Batman Begins: Stopping Ra's and the train reaching the water towerQuick and decisive, but a bit careless. people could have been crushed by that train. :down

Fantastic Four: Rescuing/Saving multiple people on the bridge I don't call that a super-hero rescue, I call that cleaning up your own mess. Ben could have killed the truck driver by smashing into the truck. :down

Superman Returns: Saving the plane/shuttle and landing it in the baseball stadium lousy movie, but definitely a great save!

In the end, I have to go with Spidey here, on the sole fact that he was doing it in spite of getting the crap beat out of him at the same time.

^I thought SR was fantastic, surprised you didnt like it. But yeah that sums up my feelings about MOST of the situations i put down. Except i thought Spidey stopping the train was fantastic and better than him saving the tram.

the most influential saves were both in the first two x-men films...

saving all those delagates would have caused a serious international war not only against the states but against mutants in general, the world would have seriously gone crazy...

saving all humans from death via cerebro was also underplayed but was incredibly important thing to do.....

on a lower scale superman's save of the plane was fairly impressive.

Spidey's train save wasn't that good since there are plenty of other heroes that could have accomplished it. His tram save was better since he had to make a choice between love and responsibility and he managed to pull them both off spectacularly.

Ock was the one who really saved the day in Spiderman 2, Along with Hulk, these two have the most sincere acts of bravery. Ock even more so because he knew he'd be going to his death destroying his life's work, double bad hit. To be honest there was no stopping the hulk, so he acted out of kindness to save the pilot, i wouldnt save it put him at a greater risk of danger in doing so.

begins was just a stupid villain scheme and it was carried out poorly, i can't even consider it. DC films for some reason don't have good villain schemes...

^I never put the X-Men stopping Dark Cerebro in because it wasnt really done in public, were people could see the X-Men did it and applaud them for it.

Superman Returns: Saving the plane/shuttle and landing it in the baseball stadium ... as much as i hate Superman, that was f'ing awesome

ah, so this isn't a rescuing of the public, rather a rescue in sight of other people?

if that's the case, the hulk shouldn't really be in the group since no one on the bridge was really paying attention to what was going on there. besides, i think the hulk was really trying to save the pilot more than save the people on the bridge...

if that's the case, a tram full of children is always going to be better than anything else...

1. Spidey saving the train in Spider-Man 2
2. Spidey saving MJ and the tram in Spider-Man 1
3. Supes saving the plane in Superman Returns

Spidey saving the train followed closely by Superman saving the plane. And they were both great movies.

Hulk's one was definately noticed by the public IMO, for one, they were shooting at the Hulk on the bridge, the helicopter the jet nearly crashed into was a news one and i think people would have noticed the jet flying towards the bridge.

well if it was noticed, cars would have stopped and people would have gotten out, there was no such recognition when the raptors fired missles into the water when the hulk fell into the water...

people barely even realised he was around when he was ripping up the streets

I'm torn between Batman Begins and Spider-Man 2.

I mean, I really liked how Spidey totally was willing to sacrifice himself and really did so.

The Superman Returns rescue was pretty cool, namely b/c it's a goddamn space shuttle.....and that landing in Metropolis Statdium was so awesome.

Close call between Bats and Spidey2.

Bats gets it just because he sends his enemy to his death while doing so. :D

Well thats just a poor part of the movie then, i bet in real life people will definately have realised.
