The opening titles. That is it. After that it all went down hill quickly.

The Airplane scene was the only part of the movie I liked.

airplane scene was the only good part the rest was boring in every way to me

In fact for my first viewing if I could show a graph of the decline of the movie it would be one slope from top to bottom.

The titles were great...really got me in the mood for something great....the classic theme. Then the plane and I thought wow this will be good....:woot:

On a role

But then, the kid......Lex and his master plan. To grow land :csad: .

Then the movie trying so hard to lift it's self like Superman lifting a huge chunk of rock....passed out from it's own crap.

I left the cinema feeling let down and sad. I even wore my Superman Tshirt as a few other fans did.

But SR hurt Superman more than it did heal the character.

I just made myself sad typing that. :csad:

In terms of Heroics new K lift was cool. But in terms of satifaction was the airplane.

Again i disagree, i still love the plane scene, but the 3rd act as a whole is just much more satisfying to me, for various reasons.

The Airplane scene was amazing, the other awesome part was when he went for a recharge. Awesomeness!

I actually think that is the best part of the movie.

I'm so glad that Singer actually had Lois mention Superman getting his power from the sun & then showed him going up through the clouds to get a recharge.

Unfortunately none of the scenes in the film rocked anything for me, but if I had to choose "the best", it would be the airplane stuff. After that, I really can't remember anything vividly except for the opening credits.

The airplane scene reminded me a lot of the animated series where Superman had to stop that plane. Great stuff.

Yeah, it was a great way to show were he gets his power from to people, not many in the GA would know that the sun was his power source IMO, heck i didnt know that a couple of years ago!

Yeah, I hope to see something similar to that in the next film as well.

^Yeah, it was possibly the best scene in the movie, so i wouldnt mind seeing a similar repeat.

I think also him in space (hovering and flying). I loved that too.

The airplane scene for me.. Honestly, I don't know if they could made it that good if it was filmed with the first film in 1978. Making the scene quite long made it enjoyable. The island one where Supes lift it was close. And I love it before he lift it, he flew up in the sky in the sun & he powered up while clinching his fists. That's Superman there. :supes:

Him lifting the island was badass because he was being exposed to Kryptonite at the same time so it proved how much inner strength he truly had.

I really liked the shuttle part, I was holding my breath throughout the whole scene. Also, I really enjoyed the part at the end when Lex and Superman face off...

Exactly, it was the most heroic scene in the movie for me, as if he failed, both Superman and most of Metropolis would surely have perished just from the impact of the island crashing back down to earth.

Superman was pretty sure he was going to die also, hence why he made sure he said 'Bye' to Lois.

Also the scene showed that Supermans main powers are his will and determination.

Its a damn powerful scene, both that and Superman's unconscious descent from space have me in complete silence while watching them.

Yeah, that's why it's my favorite scene. Even though he was exposed to Kryptonite, he still threw that damn island into space anyway.

Absolutely. great scene. This is why I didn't miss any punching giant robots scene in the movie. Not that I would have mind one of those scenes.

Showing that is the man that make the powers, not the other around.

I liked that the action was different, i'm getting tired of slugfests that simply dont improve on what has gone before them. For me, no one-on-one fight has bettered Blade vs Nomak at the end of Blade II and that was in 2002, though Spidey vs Doc Ock came very close. But other than that, the fights in movies havent been anything special IMO.

I didn't mind that Superman wasn't fighting villains in SR but in the next film he needs to actually test his limits against a supervillain who is just as strong or stronger than him.

Absolutely, but i was still happy with what we got in SR, and supervillain is only necessary to get the punters watching the sequel.
