Superman Returns shocking scenes

the dvd is awesome. i enjoyed the movie, but the extras are nice too. the scene with supes saving the airplane gives me chills everytime, it definately one of the best superhero movie scenes of all time. what are some scenes yall liked, deleted or not?

That's a good point. However, I always looked at it as they knew that Superman was stopping it, so that's why the didn't run off screaming in horror.
But that is a good point. It is still one of my favorite scenes ever though.

i didn't like how the floating superman looked in the wide shot in that scene. i guess it was necessary to show he was back in the limelight

The DVD is awesome. I like that everything is brighter than the theatre version.

i think the scene when he flies up to recharge in the suns rays is amazing.

The scene in which he lifts the shuttle off of the plane. Is awesome with the JW theme playing, its like supes "says allow me Iam taking this shuttle for a ride" its classic supes.

Other spectacular scene is the scene of him looking face-up burning the debri falling from the building and his cape flapping and his hair waving while he does his thing. Really iconic stuff.

The scen of supes catching the bigass sign before it falls on the cab. They really got the physics right in that scene.

That is how I looked at it too. It isn't like Spiderman or even Batman doing the same thing because they have no power to speak of really that will slow down the plane. Superman has the super strength and the baseball fans knew that he would save them and the plane passengers and the plane itself.

That is how I always looked at it. The movie is great. I got it on DVD along with Superman II The Richard Donner Cut and Now it is time for me to get the rest of the DVDs now.

I thought Superman getting beat up was a powerful scene. I felt emotion from it. Superman recharging was great and him hovering above earth listening to everything was awesome too.

 

[The Caped Knight]

The ending with Sups flying from metropolis in the sky soaring high above the clouds heading towards the sun into outer sapce with the john Williams SUPERMAN theme in the background .

My second favorite scene is the whole flight sequence between SUPERMAN & Lois over Metropolis . It was an emotional moment for me being a huge fan of Lois & clark/Superman romance.

Then The Plane sequence

Followed by Sups saving Metropolis from destruction .

im sure they just thought the scene of the crowd viciously trampling themselves into oblivion was unnecessary for time reasons.
