Best Superhero movie Beginnings

Blatantly stolen and changed from the "Best Superhero movie endings" thread, Here's my top 5 Superhero movie beginnings (I'll say beginning is either the first 5-10 minutes or the first scene after the opening credits, unless if the credits are your pick)


5. Spiderman 2 opening credits (Alex Ross artwork)
4. Incredible Hulk opening credits (if not only for the easter eggs)
3. X2 (Nightcrawler in the White House)
2. Iron Man ("Back In Black", Tony Stark, and the best pre-credits hook ever)
1. The Incredibles (sums up everything good about superheroes)

Honorable mentions: "I'm Batman", the route from Krypton to Earth opening credits of Superman Returns, Hellboy's opening sequence in WWII.

10: "Superman III" - Gus Gorman/Main Titles - Funny in a semi-stupid way...certainly interesting if nothing else.
9: "Batman Forever" - Main Titles/Gotham Bank Fight
8: "Daredevil" - Main Titles (Having the Titles in Braille was neat)
7: "Incredible Hulk" - Main Titles (Yeah, the Easter Eggs were pretty sweet)
6: "Sin City" - Opening short scene with Josh Hartnett + Main Titles
5: "X2: X-Men United" - Main Titles w/ John Ottman Theme + Nightcrawler's White House Attack
4: "Spider-Man 3" - Main Titles
3: "Blade" - Main Titles/Blood Club Battle
2: "Batman (1989)" - Main Titles
1: "Superman: The Movie" - Opening Comic Book Read/Main Titles

Gotta go with Blade! That scene of the club kids dancing.The sprinklers going off with blood and Blade showing up made me go . I thought to myself this movie's going to be da bomb. Best opening IMO and it was R rated too. Which i feel more Super- Hero flicks should be.

Totally forgot about that scene with Magneto. Super-awesome, totally makes you sympathize with him: If humanity is so mean to "normal" people who are different, surely what they will do to "super" people will be far worse. Totally makes you sympathize with him.

it's a shame they never refer back to it in the following films and he cromes across plain and simply bad (especially in the last one).

I'm going with X-2 but I enjoyed the whole pizza thing with Spiderman 2. "Hey he stole that man's pizza!"

well I'm concidering actual beginning of the films and NOT the opening credits (they're nice but you have to have a good beginning)

1. X-men 2: Definitely the most AMAZING opening of any comic book film. One of the best scenes, in fact, in any cb film

2. X-men: I love Magneto and Rogue's scenes. It really set the film up and showed just how dangerous a mutant can be. Yeah, X-men films have the best starts

3. The Dark Knight: Fun and exciting. I loved Joker so its a great opening by default.

4. Blade: That was really cool, vampire nightclub massacre...awsome

5. Spider-man: I love how its really light-hearted and starts the movie running. We know who Peter Parker is so just show us the field trip!!..and thats what they do
