2014/2015 has proven to be a bumper year for television (or in one case, Netflix) adaptations of superhero franchises. and while there were casualties in the harsh race for renewals, most of the shows proved successful and many even received critical acclaim. This includes for writing.

To this end, much of the credit goes to the bad guys. But of course, this is hardly surprising. After all, a hero is only as good as his villains.

With that in mind, as theseason draws to a close, let's look back at the comic book shows and see which one had the best supervillain of 2014/2015?

P.S.: Warning. Spoilers will likely abound.

Wells, then Fisk.

The rest were horrible. Ra's should have been so much better.

Also this topic needs some representation for the other comic shows.

Blaine from iZombie, Wolfe from Powers, Manny from Constantine

a tie between Fisk, Penguin and Cal, with Cal having the advantage for nostalgic Twin Peaks reasons only. but all 3 were great. the rest of the options were forgetable at best

Wells,. not even close either bro

I dunno... I'm kind of torn between Wells and Cal. Harrison Wells is your Supervillain Classic played flawlessly by Tom Cavanagh.

Meanwhile, Cal was a lot more sympathetic and relatable, in the "if you lived in the Marvel universe and this happened to you, you might've done the same" kind of way. And Kyle MacLachlan did a fantastic job playing the character across a diverse range of personalities; from scary to adorkable to all at once.

I will admit that I'm not the most familiar with Powers (I didn't even know about it until five seconds ago) and I completely forgot about Constantine. as for Blaine... well he isn't quite up to par yet, I feel. Maybe next year if he survives into iZombie Season 2. I will also admit that I've not quite watched Gotham or Daredevil either but both have gotten good reviews and had a big enough following I figured I'd get skewered if I forgot about them and so did some basic research on them on Wikipedia and TVTropes.

I have to vote Wells too. I'm so far behind on Arrow it's pitiful so I'm not sure how bad Ra's is.

I was too, Wells has all of his mind tho, Cal is just plain nuts lol

I say Sawyer, have you seen how his threads have taken over the Hype?

Thawne for me. Such a fascinating character, and brilliantly acted by both Tom Cavanaugh and Matt Letscher. Fisk was a close second, as a fascinating deconstruction of the Crime lord stereotype. Penguin is third, a character who was made entirely by the brilliant actor playing him.

I was torn between Wilson Fisk and Reverse Flash, but in the end i chose Reverse Flash.

Fisk was great, but I love the Harrison Wells/Eobard Thawne dichotomy. Tom Cavanagh managed to get me to simultaneously hate and love him at the same time.

I have to vote Wells too. I'm so far behind on Arrow it's pitiful so I'm not sure how bad Ra's is.

Hate Arrow's version of Ra's Al Ghul. Why does Ra's have an Australian accent? I know it's because Matt Nable is Aussie, but it just doesn't work.

It just throws me off completely as an Aussie myself.

There was no reverence to Ra's. Neeson had a mystique about him and so did David Warner's animated voice portrayal. A sort of dark royalty.

Nable just seemed like a normal guy.

1.Reverse Flash. No doubt about it.Cavanagh has nailed it with a vengeance.

2.Calvin Zebo.Kyle MacLachlan has been a joy to watch this season. I'm glad they didn't kill him off.

3.Kingpin. A solid performance in a series that I found somewhat lacking....

4.Ra's. Started kinda iffy.Didn't really turn out to be anything special, but they settled into a decent mode with him.

5. Penguin. He was pretty much the highlight of the season....but that season was all over the place.

6.Dr. Whatshisname. Seriously, I thought he was great, but he was like an 11th hour revelation. He didn't really get the screen time of the others.

It was a difficult choice.
I was torn between Wells, Fisk and Cobblepot.

But in the end I went with Wells. He's a bad guy that you almost want to cheer for, he just wants to get home. But he does not care who he has to hurt/kill to get back.
I hope we find out more about him before and leading up to how/why he got stuck in the past.

Also, I can't wait to see how the Fisk and Cobblepot characters develop in their respective second seasons!

Wilson Fisk without a doubt. Easily one of the best TV villains out there and on par or better than all of the MCU villains.

Its ''Im gonna cut your head off with a car door, if you c*** block me'' Wilson Fisk

It was close for me between Thawne/Wells and Fisk.

However my bias towards the character in comics and made me vote Thawne/Wells. I'm surprised since I also voted on the basis that he's the poll underdog against Fisk.
