The one hit wonder.......who's a 3 time world champ and 1 time WWE champ. They're kind of indirectly pissing on the WHC.
Punk's losing me. All he does is name names now. He doesn't really have a argument anymore. What he's saying sounds good but has no substance. Cena was gold tonight but the haters will just say Punk outclassed him in every way.![]()
The crowd were dead all night but that segment certainly got them going, both guys were very good on the mic IMO but Punk is just on another level to Cena and the crowd clearly were heavily in his favour as the segment progressed.
Punk isn't the top face just yet. Last week Cena got the bigger pop. This week was Punk. I'd say their even right now.

Namedropping IS the argument. Cena gets all these chances...and guys like Chris Masters work their butts off for years and get dropped. That IS HIS ARGUMENT.
Heck of a segment to end Raw on.
Love how Punk subverted all the usual cliches of these kinds of contract signings.
Have Cena and Punk been reading this thread? Everything from Cena as Hogan 2.0 to The Rock's part time status...LOL. When he called Cena a failed bodybuilder I was almost expecting an Ultimate Warrior reference!
Using The Rock's facebook video was pretty clever by Punk but it highlighted that the Rock's whole act seemed thin and repetitive to me. Punks got a point...but he used it brilliantly to advance the issue with Cena AND call out the Rock for some of the same stuff he accuses Cena of.
LOLed when they worked Ice cream bars in there. Referencing all the releases really added to the "realness" and a lot of guys have talked about Ace the same way. I see he was back out there to take a beating like the stooge he is.
Even Cena really rolled with it tonight. Admitting he'd never win over a certain segment of the audience but that Punk had to win to be relevant. This is some of the better mic work he's done in a while.
I was when this first started but I realized now, that he's just naming names. Tonight when they called him out of his BS, he called them out on BS. But their **** was firing people on the phone? Come on Punk, you can do better than that. Cena has regain my respect and fanhood during this whole thing. They keep calling him phony but Cena's the realist guy in this whole thing in my eyes. He's doing it for his fans and not wanting anything out of this except to be the champ. To be fair... were you ever a "Punk" guy? Cena was good, no doubt... but it was Punk that woke up the crowd. Once John stepped up, Punk took it to the next level and once again, in my eyes, proved to be the best guy on the stick in the business.
Cena did a really good job tonight but I think he was wrong about there being nothing he could do to win over those millions. And Rock is angry at him for talking trash, that's what people like him do.
Punk beat Cena by an inch on the promos. They were both gold tonight.
Cena worked his ass of too to get the top spot. Masters was only brought back cause he was Orton's buddy. Thats the difference.Namedropping IS the argument. Cena gets all these chances...and guys like Chris Masters work their butts off for years and get dropped. That IS HIS ARGUMENT.
