Nah...during commercial breaks before Cena or HHH appears, you remind the crowd that if they chant "CM Punk" that they would ban Punk from the building...then you come back from commercial, give the mic to Cena, and let the crowd remind the audience of Punk for the next 5 minutes. Build anticipation for his return.

Then again, I would have handled almost everything differently from how WWE did post MITB.

They haven't been able to keep Cena fired or traded for one night. WWE's ability to do a long term storyline flew the coop a long time ago. It'd be great if they could but...

Its a miracle they can keep doing this Rock/Cena thing at all but they go MONTHS without any real progress with that so I'm not sure that even counts.

I can only read so many "Doctor of Fruity Pebblenomics" vs "Rocky MiaVia Satellite" jokes for so long before it gets stale as hell.

You're right...Nothing like shooting Bieber in an extreme closeup; poofy hair blowing in the artificial wind to prepare you for Cobra attacking Washington DC.

Its not like the first GIJoe movie was a lot more serious than The Bieber movie though. The kid would have been no worse as Duke than Channing Tatum.

And before Sage makes a proclamation I'll keep this on topic and hope Sgt. Slaughter has a cameo in there with The Rock.

The Rocks anger was so palpable...the rivalry was so intense...that Rock found a place in his schedule 12 months away to kick John Cena's ass and teach him a lesson!

The thing is I can't praise TNA for pushing guys I can't stand.
I can praise them for doing a good job with Austin Aries. If they really do push Roode I can praise them then as well.

Hogan is getting old, Joker Sting doesn't work for me, I can't stand Crimson, I can't stand Gunner, and I can't stand Abyss,

I have problems with WWE as well, but between Hogan/Sting/lmmoral and TNA pushing two young guys that get X-Pac heat from me, I don't have much love for TNA right now.

I just heard about the roster cuts. Almost didn't think this was going to happen. I think a lot of it can be attributed to the weak system of building
stars in the current structure of wwe programming.


Gail Kim.... I guess she quit .. can't blame her. It's too easy to get lost in the shuffle. Her pulling a stunt on Raw and not getting called out on it shows what a sad state of affairs this is.

Melina.. I liked her and I'm a little surprised but she caused drama so there might be some relief in the locker room. It's gonna be interesting to see how JOMO does with this.

Koslov and Chris Masters .. should of happened a long time ago. They killed Koslov's career with the comedy routine. Masters just didn't have the same appeal to me since his return.

DH Smith... This was a letdown and it's been since the break-up of the Hart Dynasty. I can't tell if he didn't have the drive or he was depushed for another reason.

I know what you mean. I have the same problems with WWE and TNA. Both companies push guys I rather not see (excpet Sting) in the main event, which is why I'm glad Punk is being given a true chance.

Frankly, there is a lot of guys on the WWE roster I cannot stand who get pushed like Miz, Orton, Cena, Sheamus. But I at least gotta give credit to WWE when they do push their young talents. The problem with WWE though is since Lesnar, they build a guy up, only to tear him down and it hurts the wrestlers and the company. If you're going to push certain talents, at least give them a chance. They always rely on Orton and Cena, or when they do bring in someone like the Rock, they've done so at the expense of their talent like Miz.

TNA just doesn't build many young/new guys up anymore to the main event and have relied on Sting and Angle far too much. Of course, with Hogan there more emphasis is placed on him than it should be sadly. TNA butchered Anderson, who was red hot a one point. But they are making strides at trying to build some new stars, which is commendable. However, I just hate Crimson and Gunner, while he has potential, is still very green. But I still have to give them credit for trying.

Overall I'm more emotionally invested in TNA's roster since I feel they have the better talent over WWE. But both companies use their talents equally bad and the neither show is that good. WWE has just been doing fantastic with the Punk stuff and it'sthe best thing going on in the industry.


Personally, the guys I would like to see on top or given a serious long-term push without having their legs cut out from under them in both companies are...

WWE: Punk, Christian, William Regal, Ted Dibiase, DH Smith (if he was still employed)

TNA: James Storm, The Pope, AJ Styles, Matt Morgan, Brutus Magnus.

Obviously, because of their popularity and status, guys like Cena, Orton, Angle, Sting will still be a part of the main event in some capacity, but it should be to help build other stars.

They've been pushing Gunner hard as well. Robert Roode has been someone the company has been setting up for a big singles push as well.

Although I don't like the fact Crimsonis the guy they've chosen to push to the top and give the BFG main event, but you cannot hate on them for trying and giving someone new a chance.

What's happening with Roode? last time I saw him he was cutting promos opposite Hogan and doing a great job with them.

The rookie from the indies that intiially started out as Amazing Red's little brother is getting the main event spot at TNA's biggest PPV? against who? and I thought they were doing Hogan vs Sting?

Sucks they never used Gail to her potential.

WWE doesn't seem to know what to do with female talent that can actually wrestle; they either keep them off TV, or turn them heel.

Case and point: anyone with a brain would probably say "Hey, let's do a Natalya/Phoenix feud, because then we could actually have an honest to god wrestling match between divas who have personalities!"

But no, better to turn them heel and put them in the ring with Kelly Kelly.

Turning them both heels (in the same week no less) was so illogical, even for the WWE, they'll just have to sign Kana to kick both their asses!
