Birds of Prey Birds of Prey General Discussion and Speculation

I liked this movie. It was decent, it got Harley right, but I just wish they’d given more time to Canary and Huntress. But all in all, very good outing.

After watching, I have a hankering for a bacon, egg and cheese and I also want to adopt a hyena.

Can someone explain one thing to me, maybe I didn’t catch it but:

How did Helena know to go to Amusement Mile for the final battle? How did she even find out?

They show Dinah seeing her in the mirror on the drive there, following them. Given she was after Zsasz, presumably she saw him get in the car and followed it.

I liked how they opened up gotham city, but at the same time...I just don't see how they can connect Reeves Batman to this, like a lot of folks want. All through out the mayhem that happens here, I just kept thinking there was no way in hell this be happening with an active Batman out there. lol

Batfleck comes in with his batplane and just goes to town on them goons.

Yeah that was another thing they should’ve addressed. All this chaos going on in Gotham and not one Bat signal or no Commissioner Gordon?

I get that the movie isn’t about them but they could’ve explained their absence.

They were on Fornite all night long and fell asleep.

That's easy , Batman and Gordon read the script and decided, NEXT TIME!

There seems to be some lines here or there that was cut. I do remember some kind of marketing in which HQ mentions Batman being gone.

Ohhh. That sucks.

On a side note, I would’ve even liked if they had more Easter Eggs for the other Bat villains too. I mean it’s Gotham, they could’ve had Riddler’s question marks spray painted somewhere in the alleys or Penguin’s top hat/umbrella at the GCPD.

Harley looking at Captain Boomerang’s wanted poster was funny though.

Just got out. Loved it! Harley Quinn was amazing, totally entertaining every second she was on screen and way better than she was in Suicide Squad. I also liked Canary and Huntress and hope we get to see them again in comic book outfits in a future film.

I just go with the theory that Batman doesn't work during the day.

Also, how many comics are set in Gotham and does Batman show up for every crime? No, so why does it matter here?

Also true.

Matter of fact, if this movie were an Arkham game, it would feel like a side mission anyway. Threat level was low.

Saw it, kind of loved it. Robbie really knocked it out of the park, really filling the role well now. The supporting cast was great, even with the changes. But screw it, it was a fun dynamic.

She was trailing the last person on the list

This flick really showed people how funny Robbie really is. When she was on the scene at first everybody just had her viewed as just a hot Aussie chick and nothing more but she's funny as hell.

I'm just happy that we are going to see her again in James Gunn's TSS next year.

Frankly, putting Harley in Gunn's hands should be a concern to fans of the character...

One thing I have noticed, with Birds of Prey and Charlie's Angels, the directors doing a good job of portraying the feelings of certain situations women find themselves in.
