Logo? Wow that's....gay? Huh.
Yeah, it is a pretty racist station...As I'm sure many have said before, if there was a WET, people would flip. You want to make things equal then make things equal. Don't start segregating on the airwaves.
The the thing we need to remember is that in America, black is generally considered a race, like Greek or Italian. If there was a channel aimed at either Greeks or Italians, I don't think people would care. But white is simply too vague. When someone says that something caters to a white audience, there are many people who interpret it as "caters to all audiences except black".
And while I don't think BET is racist, I do think that it is many steps back for black people. If you based all your assumptions of black people on BET's programming, let's just say that you probably wouldn't have the highest opinion of them.
And where are they now? In obscurity.![]()

thats for hicks...not just whites
BET aside, there is something that I just want to say to all who say that having a (various ethnicity) channel, (various ethnicity) month, and all things related is racist and not fair to whites. However, I will sound not only sound like a racist, but ignorant as well.
But Black Entertainment TelevisionAnd some could say that BET is mainly for some black people who like rap/hip-hop and The Parkers.
what's to say? there's nothing wrong with having a black history month any more than there would be for an Italian American month, or a St. Patty's Day,or what have you. People who complain need to get over it.![]()
But Black Entertainment Television
has Black in it
and Country Music Television
has Country in it
