What the suit’s appearance will mean to the Marvel Universe and Civil War will remain to be seen, as well as who will be behind the mask, whether the costume will be taking the place of Spidey’s current armor and most importantly, whether the costume is homespun on Earth or extraterrestrial in origin.

^ For real man. Spidey needs his edge back after being such a ***** lately. I really hope so, and even tho Venom is played out, i really hope the original with Eddie inside comes back somehow. Gargan Venom is such a terrible idea.

But the return of the black costume on Spidey? Its without a doubt always has and always will be my favorite Spidey costume of all time.

I like the black costume....I really do....but for cripes sakes, you made the fans sit through that abomination of an iron spidey suit....you couldn't just keep him in his classic dudes for a while?

I'll...wait to see how this goes. At this point it could be really iconic cool, or it could just be the milking of a dry idea. Arbitrary costume/power changes once a year aren't going to make Spidey good again if that's all you're going to do, and it's irritating that Marvel seems to think so.

Wow. Like this isnt a blantant attempt to tie into SM3. Personally, I think this is bull****. The classic duds are by far the best spidey costume ever. The whole symbiote thing is a past chapter in Spidey's life and I think its ******ed that he's returning to them.

Hell, I'm just surprised Marvel didnt make them exactly like Raimi's version of the black costume.

At least the symbiote is a step in the right direction. It's not the red and blues but someday. SOMEDAY!

The black suit is far superior to the classic costume anyway. So is the Ben Reily spider-man costume for that matter (with the larger spider and outside webshooters). They're both far more interesting visually.

Thats all opinion. Personally, I think the original costume is the greatest costume in all of comics. And the Reily costume is pure 90s suckage, with the different fingers, giant insignia, half boots and visible gadgets.

I'm not sure how i feel about this either... i love the black costume... and happy to see it again, but.... i just really hope this doesn't mean MJ dies and peter wears the black because of her death, his blame, and him shutting out the rest of the world.. and doing some out of character stuff in order to deal with his pain...
