Black Manta?

To me it is. And the fortress of solitude was built from a crystal that was formed in the caves, so it makes sense. And I feel that it makes alot more sense than "he's talking to the ghost of his father".

However at this point that's what they're saying, that he's talking to Jor-El's essence, particularly with Jor-El reviving Clark from the dead.

Which majorly takes away from certain parts of the Superman mythos and makes little sense, but whatever. It would make more sense if they said it was simply the Eradicator program.

wasn't this a aquaman 'Mercury Reef' thread, not a superman smallville thread?

I was thinking the same things. Let's get back to mercy reef

That's why I say it's the Eradicator. Personality wise, the "Jor-El" Clark speaks to is much more like the Eradicator.

"Jor-El" = voiced by Terence Stamp = Zod

On the subject of Black Manta, he is by far the best recurring villain that they could use.

I just don't want them to make A.C. and him friends. They should be eniemies from the begining ans not really have anything in common, to stray away from smallville rehash. The should definately keep black manta as being autistic.

I doubt CW would have the brawn to do that.

I like Black Manta and I think they should tweek his suit so that he can be in Mercy Reef.

Oh, totally. Black Manta has one of my favorite origins in comics. He was an autistic savant who was treated very poorly in the orphanige where he grew up. Doctors tried a new treatment on him to help him deal with some of his problems, but it was basically just pumping him full of mental stiumlants to a point just short of O.D.ing. Made him much more lucid and boosted his already impressive inteligence, but it, along with his past abuses, left him severely ****ed up in the head.

I really dont want to see him show for the simple fact I hate the way SV has brought people from the DCU onto their show and I just have a bad feeling if they did the same thing with this.

Well, I like what they did on smallville, some things were questionable, but in the end they all worked out. Mercy Reef will be good i think it just needs to find it's own footing and people need to stop dissing aquaman and saying all he does is talk to fish. I have confidence that this will not be another birds of pray(which I liked)
