You wanted to know what his deal was,.. and I gave you my spin on why he would come here and make that stupid comment.

Hippy fascist is an oxymoron. It's another way of saying hardline liberal. I will hold a gun to your face and make you do what you want rather than what other people tell you to do/be. It's like that scene in fightclub where tyler durden holds a man at gunpoint and forces him to pursue his dream.
I've been using the name online for about four years now

My response was to tell you what I thought HIS/HER deal was to type such a thing and that it would be a waste of time to debate him.

I don't think anyone should find this thread offensive, but I find it rather stupid. I would think that if a character's race was changed, their whole backstory and lifestyle would change, and the character would be much different than the way they are now. Such as Thor. I can't image an African-American with the voice of say...Samuel Jackson speaking in "Norse/Olde English".

Thor shouldn´t speak in ancient english, because he´s scandinavian, so he should speak in ancient danish or norwegian.

Him speaking in XIX century english doesn´t make sense at all., last I heard he wasn´t around during the victorian era to learn to speak in that manner.

With that said, I do agree that I´d rather see new black superheroes created than to see white ones retconed into being black.
However, you shouldn´t take it too seriously since this is a thread aimed at having fun.

I considered a while ago doing a similar thread, only in my case was: "Which superheoes would be awesome if they were female?"

No, it isn´t.

12% of the US population is black.
Less that 1% of the MU superhero population is black.

If you add in other races and ethnic groups and considering the random way people are granted powers or are born with them, statistically the MU metahuman population is completelly detached form the reality of the US population figures.

You know what´s my problem with black superheroes?

The large majority of them (and forgive me if I´m wrong but it´s the perception I get) are usually tech-enhanced, just men with toys.

Owning a big gun or wearing a ciber-skeleton doesn´t make you a superhero, there should be more real metas out there like Silver Surfer, Miss Marvel, Thor, Magneto, guys whose skills are inherently their own and not the result of some tech gizmo.
