What about Gerard Butler? he's looking pretty badass in Law Abiding Citizen..my friend saw an advance screening last night and he said Butler was awesome in it. I'm planning on catching it come 10/16 but just wanted your opinions on that idea?

Butler isn't my first choice but definitely one to consider. I could see him doing it. Speaking for Butler though, I don't know how people knew this but Bale just so happens to be his favorite actor.

I don't know why but Hartnett struck me as interesting.

I think hartnett would do a pretty good job. To me he just seemed kinda like black mask, since joaquin is crazy now.
My favorite for black mask would be Ed Harris(he's just scary). I want peter stormare to get a role as one of batmans eccentric villains(he's a great actor).

Benicio Del Toro for me. He's got the perfect voice, and he's certainly talented enough. The Oscar winner is probably my only choice for Black Mask. The only problem is that he doesn't really resemble a Roman Sionis type.

My choice would be Mark Strong. I havent seen a lot of Black Mask, but what I have seen (as least from the first Mask) he seemed to have a bit of a deadpan humor. Mark Strong in RockNRolla reminded me of him.

IMO. Roman Sionis owner of his company that almost rivals Wayne Enterprises. Sionis is a corrupt businessman,who would kill someone rather than asking to move aside. He has everything,but is jealous of his rival Bruce Wayne,but keeps acts all friendly towards him. When his proposal to merge his company with WE falls through,Sionis resorts to hiring gangsters to sabotage WE property and using Deadshot to kill the board of directors. With the company in ruin,he will cease the chance to take it. Roman becomes Black Mask in order to divert any suspicion or attention away from himself,by making up a false story that Thomas Wayne murdered his parents and is out for revenge by destroying his son. This of course is to deliberately sabotage Bruces creation of The Thomas And Martha Foundation.

Batman and Black Mask both draw the attention of a certain feline woman in the process,but why?

I think Javier Bardem is a terrible suggestion, as Roman Sionis would be of Eastern European descent. Wouldn't Sionis likely be a Czech name, or something along those lines?

With Black Mask, I'm the guy who really bases his choices in relativity with the talent to act, and voice. My main choices of that case would be:

Greg Kinnear

Tom Hardy

Richard Roxburgh

And yet other choices my tired mind can't think of right now.

I am a big big fan of the comics and always love more fantasy and unrealistic elements...but in this case that should really be changed.

The mask molding onto his face is soo stupid, it looks corny and cheap even in "Under the Red hood" no way a live action movie can do it right. Black Mask should just wear his mask to freighten people at times and put fear in them and take it off when he wants. Much better idea than the mask melting on his face
