I'm currently working on writing a screenplay for a third Batman movie, just for fun of it. I'm assuming that
The story takes place about two months after the events of TDK. The story line is a little weak when I was writing about Two Face, but other than that I think its good. Please read and let me know what yal think.
Shadow of the Bat
Two Face (Harvey Dent) returns in a dramatic and twisted role. His sole purpose is revenge on Batman, who he feels was partly responsible for his scarring and for not being able to save Rachel. He brutally murders cops and other in Gotham, seeking revenge, but also spares many. His decisions are based entirely on the flip of his coin. Half of the time the audience hates him, the other half they sympathize with him. The first scene of the movie is of Two Face mourning at the tombstone of Rachel Dawes in the pouring rain.
Roman Sionis, the CEO of Janus Cosmetics, a rival company of Wayne Enterprises goes crazy after an unfortunate series of events. He strikes a deal with rising kingpin Arnold Wesker, which goes bad and leaves his company nearly bankrupt. Janus Cosmetics is then bought by and merged with Wayne Enterprises, causing Sionis estranged and power-hungry fiancé, Circe, to break up with him. He first goes after Wesker, who he finds executing a man under the orders of a ventriloquist puppet controlled by Wesker himself. After disposing of Wesker, Sionis confronts Circe, threatening her, trying to get her to come back to him. She refuses, and in complete despair shoots and kills herself in front of him. This act completely drives him over the edge, and he begins kidnapping and torturing Wayne Enterprises employees, committing all of his crimes while wearing a black mask.
Selina Kyle is a prostitute who Bruce Wayne encounters while he is on watch in the narrows. He feels sorry for her, and as Bruce Wayne puts her and her roommate Holly Robinson up in a penthouse suite in the heart of Gotham City. Both Holly and Selina share a love of cats, and they have several in their home, which they take to their new suite. Wayne and Kyles relationship begins to grow, and the two become very close to one another. However, as Bruce Wayne becomes more and more infatuated and frustrated over the crimes of Two Face and Sionis (known to the cops as Black Mask) he begins pushing those who he cares about farther and farther away- specifically Selina Kyle and his butler, Alfred, later even Commissioner Gordon. He spends most of his time on the streets of Gotham fighting crime and in the Batman, and Bruce Wayne becomes almost nonexistent.
Commissioner Gordon and newly appointed District Attorney Janice Porter work hard to stop the crimes of Two Face. Gordon leads a police raid against the supposed hide out of Two Face, but is thwarted and almost killed. Gordons work, as well as his relationship with Batman, causes friction between him and his wife, Barbara.
Two Face, obsessed with revenge towards Batman, begins stalking him, and starts to recognize a direct relationship with Bruce Wayne. He also realizes that there is a relationship between Wayne and Selina Kyle.
In his anger against Wayne Enterprises, Sionis kidnaps CEO Lucius Fox and holds him hostage, as well as other Wayne Enterprises employees in an abandoned Janus Cosmetics warehouse. Batman is able to rescue Fox and the other employees, despite the crazed Sionis catching the building on fire. Batman and Sionis fight in the inferno, and ultimately, Sionis falls to his death, his skin burning and his face becoming a permanent black mask.
Alfred is able to persuade Bruce that being Batman is not everything. He reminds him of Selina, who has now almost completely given up on her almost romance-to-be with Bruce Wayne.
In a plot to destroy Batman, Two Face breaks in to the suite of Selina and Holly to kidnap Selina. He hopes that this will draw the attention of Bruce Wayne, who will in turn get Batman to rescue her, not knowing that Wayne is indeed Batman. However, Selina is not there so Two Face goes after the next best thing: Holly. He ties her to a chair, in preparation to torture her right as Selina comes in. She is extremely agile and is able to save Holly, and both manage to escape. Not knowing where to turn, the two women go to Wayne Manor in hopes that Bruce will let them stay there. That night, Batman goes after Two Face and encounters him at a construction site. He has Gordon and a police backup team hiding in the shadows. The two fight but Two Face manages to shoot Batman, causing him to fall to the ground. His decision to kill or spare Batman is based on his coin toss. He flips, but as he does Gordon and his men rush in and apprehend Two Face. The coin lands on the side intended for sparing Batmans life.
Bruce recovers from his bullet wound, and begins pursuing a relationship with Selena Kyle once again.
Two Face is taken to Arkham Asylum, now run by psychiatrist Dr. Harleen Quinzel. As he sits in his cell, Dr. Quinzel talks with the Joker, who is bound by a straight jacket, in a holding room.
In the last scene of the movie, Batman is seen taking down some thugs in the narrows. In the shadows, a cat-like woman lurks, watching him.
I guess some themes would be dual/split personalities, separation, and Batman/Bruce's struggle to maintain his identity.
at the end of TDK the Joker has been apprended, Rachel is dead, Two Face is alive and free, and Gordon has been promoted to Commissioner.
