Just trying to see what everyone thinks about Reginald Hudlin's take on the Black Panther. He's had 16 issues to setup, shape and define "his" Black Panther compared to those that have come before (Chris Priest).

IMHO Reginald Hudlin's BP interpretation is on the level of his big screen projects.

IE...not that good.

Trying to get other opinions.

Oh, and yes...I noticed that his name is Reginald, not Robert.
:)

It's definitely not Priest, but it ain't Austen either. I'm putting well into the 'mediocre' range.

A feel good book, not what alot of people expect from a Panther book for sure.

But a good break from all the nitty gritty going on everywhere else.He writes a damn good Cage too.

A totally different direction than Priest's more serious tone, but fun nonetheless.

I would put it in the okay range. it's not great, but it's not horrible either. Nowhere near as bad as people say it is.

Not a fan. Hated how they changed Klaw's origin. From a crazy ass scientist to an assasin.

I feel like breaking out in a raging rant, but I will not for last time too many children died.

I like the book, Hudlin has done some really good things, but I don't like how he pisses on continuity at times. In some ways I feel bad for Hudlin and in other ways I don't. He had HUGE shoes to fill coming in behind Priest, Preist is to BP what Frank Miller is to DD, Hudlin was in trouble with fans from the moment he signed on, but he didn't help matters by trying to erase alot of the things that Priest did instead of building on a VERY solid foundation that was laid....The book is entertaining but not what fans expected and definitley not what it COULD have been.

Uh... no? I'm saying I believe you see kids' faces every night, but not in nightmares.

Youre like that damn asian kid who got straight A's and messed up the curve for everyone else.

Hudlin's growing on me, I was pissed at first with his version of BP, but as it went on I gotta say Black Panther under Hudlin has been anything, but boring.

Great way to put it.

Yeah its been extremely.....

*counts to 10.*

I'll just say this much, more happens in one issue of Hudlin's BP than a years worth of Bendis's New Avengers.
