Blade Origins!?!?!?!?!

I stumbled across this a bit ago on another forum and saved the pictures. the post is no longer up but are they planning a Blade origins or a Blade beginnings of some sorts??

I've thought about this years ago that if somebody were to ever reboot the Blade franchise they should do it in the way of Batman Begins. We should see exaclty how Blade became Blade. This Blade should also be baised on the MAX verison.

BTW. Got anymore pictures of this? And when was this post and pictures posted?

They could make a TV series, or movie, of Blade's Origin
but
it would have to be heavily 70s. Maybe like That 70s Show, except not a comedy and with superheroes.

I'd like to see a new blade franchise, reboot style. With a younger (in appearance) Blade. I'd like a new origin, I want Blade to seem like an immortal.
Maybe have him born in the mid 1800's in America, have his mother be a slave that was bitten by a superior vampire, while secretly pregnant with Blade.
Then he's born in a world of destruction and secrecy (the American civil war).
Set the movie in the late 1800's with Blade, who has been training with the vampires but have him realize what he's doing is wrong, and have rebel and show true Independence and growth after he defeats a powerful and dangerous foe, the leader of his old group.

I'd set the next movie, in the mid 1970's, bring in a young (around 22-24) but wise whistler, who further trains Blade(who appears to be 25-28, but is well over 100 years old) and aids him in his ongoing battle of the vampiric underworld, also I'd bring in Dracula as kind of a kingpin, not really the main focus but the one pulling the strings.

And in the next, I'd finally have Blade confront Dracula in today's world, and have to make a dire decision, that would change the world as he knows it.
I would include a scene just like this one.

Love those two pics. A Blade origin movie would seem like a good way to reboot the franchise. I'd be all for a 4th film if Snipes was all for it, but if that can't work an origin film could be a good way to see more of the character. I feel that there's so much that can be shown with Blade. I don't feel that the series should end because of some notion that all it can have is a trilogy.

Looking back, it probably made more sense to make the TV show a prequel instead of a sequel to the films. I would love to see a reboot of the franchise though, with Snipes's involvement or blessing if possible.

GG had some interesting ideas. The idea of making him really old opens up a lot of storyline possibilities-Blade in the Civil War, during Reconstruction, Exodusters, both World Wars, Civil Rights Movement, etc. But I would like to point out that not all black people, in the US, were slaves in the 1600-1800s. There were 'free' blacks. His mother could've just as easily been an abolitionist or engaged in other activities not related to slavery. Also, if Blade had been around since the 1800s why would he need training from Whistler? Seems like Whistler would need training from Blade.

Don't do the 70s cheesy Blade.

Goyer and Snipes worked hard to erase that from the memory books and make Blade good. The brought him back from the dead with their reinvention. Let's keep it in that mold.
