I am betting the long held secret pertains to all the flogging of the off world colonies from the original. Just a hunch.

Sexy as all hell. I can't wait for this movie.

I hope it's something meaningful, at least. Not a cameo.

I guess we shouldn't expect the trailer earlier than in April?

It's a cameo. he said he's in just one scene.

I get a feeling maybe SDCC for the proper trailer.

His Gaff doesn't get enough credit. He's barely in the movie but was able to create this mysterious and weird character.

Seriously, how are they making this movie without Edward James Olmos reprising as Gaff?
He let Rachael and Deckard run, knowing what they are. He's actually their unsung hero.

Best news about this movie!
Wish it was more but he was in it the whole time. ;)

Edward James Olmos said:
“I signed a seven page non-disclosure contract. I did, my manager did, my agent did, everybody did,” he tells TheTRENDTalk (via Bleeding Cool). “I couldn’t talk about it. I couldn’t talk about it to anybody about it. Guess what? This is the first time that I’m telling the whole world, that yes, I am going to be Gaff in Blade Runner 2049.”
Great surprise.
Man that must have been killer holding that back so long!

Good to see Syd Mead is there too. His retro-futurism is inspiring.

Also, where's the full trailer. It's a bit early for that, but I want to see something. Maybe actual stills from the film, at least.

CinemaCon is next week. WB has a panel there but that con is usually reserved for producers/studios and cinema owners. Footage from there isn't usually revealed. Maybe San Diego Con?

JL comes a month later after 2049, but we're getting the trailer in a few days. So hopefully this or next week. Syd Mead pic suddenly appeared today. Maybe it's a sign.

WB also has a WonderCon panel on april 1 so maybe there

I didn't know Syd Mead was still alive. Loved his work on Blade Runner, Aliens and Tron.

Sony Boss Reveals Stunning 'Blade Runner 2049' Footage

New footage played, with the standout moment coming from a very creepy Leto.

"Every civilization was built off the back of a disposal workforce," says Leto's character as he caresses a newborn replicant. We make angels, but I can only make so many. Happy birthday."

There was also a longer version of the trailer scene in which Gosling's character meets Ford's Deckard, with this version showing off him avoiding tripwieres to navigate his lair.

Trailer might drop tomorrow

So freaking excited! That Leto scene sounds like something that could have been in the original.
