That's my go to cut of the film.

So, was that a glimpse of the new soundtrack for the movie, or it's temporary trailer stuff and the final version won't be resembling Vangelis at all?

Sooo, since the original Deckard hasn't
worked out he's a replicant
and this is effectively a remake...

I don't think Johann Johannsson has started scoring the film yet. Now, a few composers have scored teasers to movies they're working on, i.e. John Williams and Steve Jablonsky, but I think it's just a tracked version of Vangelis' theme.

Johannsson seems to be open to using Vangelis' themes, but in his most recent interview, he hasn't said anything concrete other than him sending demos to Villeneuve and saying repeatedly how he loves the first movie and the score.

Final Cut was GREAT. Man, I'm glad I bought the set tho.

The Final Cut is the only version where Sir Ridley had complete editorial control. So it's probably the closest that we're ever going to get to what his original vision for the movie was.

Actually, we were talking if the new movie will be using the music from the trailer.
Yeah me too, that's not Vangelis. (was a fan back then) I would hope so. I like what I heard.

By the way, the director Denis Vffoolloo. Let me try it again.. Villeneuve is a big fan of Ford's narration in the theatrical cut. That's why it was fascinating to hear Ford's voiceover in the trailer.

Especially since Ford apparently hated doing the voiceovers.

They got the part where he sounded decent it seems, haha

The voiceovers in the original was a studio mandate against the directors intent. The voiceovers (if there is indeed ) in this film would be the will of the director. So I think the voiceovers might turn out well this time.

That's interesting to hear. There are people who actually prefer that version of the movie and will defend it. I'm definitely not one of those people. :woot:

That wasn't from the voiceover though. It was dialogue lifted from the scene in Tyrell's office. Also, Villenueve has never come out and enthusiastically endorsed the voiceover from the original theatrical cut. He merely said he grew up loving the original theatrical cut. Given that Ridley is still the executive producer on this and that he has a say in what the Final Cut of the film will be, I highly doubt we'll get a voiceover.

I like the idea of a hard boiled voice over. It fits the whole noir style. But the execution was poor. You could tell Ford wasnt into it.
