That's the reason I'll see the film.
To everyone asking how he gets work...I once read something that stated Boll's German investors have stumbled onto a plan very much like "The Producers"...where they make more by producing bombs. It was posted in Community or Misc Films about a year back. I will try to dig it up.
I just watched the trailer for "In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale".. I know, really long title.. but anyways...
That's Uwe Boll's next movie, another video game adaption of "Dungeon Siege," but this time, it actually looks good.
The trailer is not the crappy junkness (well, the fonts and layout are pretty crappy) that is usually coming from Mr. Boll.
The cast is amazing, and just the fact that all these actors and actresses would get hired by Uwe (he's got to be shelling out some dough to bribe them or something)...
Ray Liotta, Jason Statham, Burt Reynolds, Kristanna Loken, Ron Perlman, Claire Forlani, John Rhys-Davies, and Leelee Sobieski!
Anyways, to view the trailer.. head on over to GamesToFilm.

!
Some news I found:
The film will be produced on a $10 million dollar budget, and is set to begin production in January 2007 in and around Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Instead of a theatrical release, the film will go direct-to-video.
will go direct-to-video.
Boll stated recently that the film is expected to be released on DVD in May 2007.
(Zack Ward).
Yes and no. I believe that the loophole has been "closed" but if the movie was already announced before the change it is still under the old tax law or something. Kind of like grandfather clause. At least that's how i heard it.They also closed that tax loop-hole last year I believe...
I think Halo and Gears of War could both be the great films that we've been waiting for from the studios.

Silent Hill was pretty good.
Anyhoo...the BloodRayne character herself is actually pretty cool. It's just a shame she ended up in the hands of Uwe. Oh, well, there's still the comics which are decently entertaining.
Is that Scot Farkus from "A Christmas Story" playing Billy the Kid? (Zack Ward)
Uwe Stool drugs the actors up and tells them they'll get a free trip to Germany if they sign the script. Only way he could possibly have gotten Ben Kingsley.

Agreed.
How good are the comics?
I think they're pretty good...and with the exception for the three-parter that's occuring at the moment, they usually tell stand-alone stories that are done within one issue. But with the blood, and the monsters, and the hot heroine, they're a decent read.
