If you read and watch interviews with Bob Kane you'll notice he contradicts himself. Bathead said it best. Kane preferred whatever was in production. The man only cared about the money.

It is true, even watching the extra disc for Gotham Knight pretty much says it all on how selfish and materialistic Kane was!
