Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel

I think that when this does hit the PS4/XB1.. Everyone will be rolling a Claptrap.

should have been announced for those systems. To me, it makes little sense to make games exclusive to last gen. Unless they are a small independent developer without the resources to port, (which Gearbox/2K are not), then all games appearing on PS3/360 should be crossgen. The fact that its coming to PC should have made that easier

Agreed. I read that Gearbox wasn't sure how fast current generation would take off.. Which still makes little sense to me. I know a lot of people that would buy this if there was also a next gen version.. "not having one" makes little sense to me.

Bordlerlands: The Pre-Sequel's fifth playable character is Jack

"That looks a lot like Handsome Jack," you might say to yourself as you look at the image above. You're right, but looks can be deceiving - Jack is the fifth playable character in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, but as his class (The Doppelganger) suggests, he's simply a look-alike body double. As was revealed by Gearbox Software at PAX Australia, Jack will be available on November 11 in the Handsome Jack Doppelganger Pack, which is included in The Pre-Sequel's season pass or offered as a $9.99 standalone piece of DLC.

Striking resemblance aside, Jack's Expendable Action skill spawns two Digi-Jacks, which fight to their very deaths before respawning beside Jack for as long as the skill is active. As is the Borderlands norm, his skill tree is split into three divisions; the tank and grenade-buffing "The Hero of this Story," the co-op and Fight for Your Life-focused "Greater Good," and "Free Enterprise," which grants buffs depending on your gun's manufacturer and encourages frequent weapon switchups.

There are three remaining pieces of DLC still under wraps for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC's loot-n-shoot, but an additional character, a level cap boost and a new campaign are currently part of Gearbox and 2K Australia's future plans for The Pre-Sequel. In Senior Reporter Jess Conditt's recent review, she noted that while The Pre-Sequel "boasts the loot of a full Borderlands game, it's missing a touch of depth and a dash of polish."

Borderlands franchise coming to PS4 and Xbox One?
BL-Remastered-Rated-Aus.jpg

The Australian Classification Board has rated a “Borderlands Remastered Edition” for multiplatform release.
The game was rated MA 15+ under the publishing of Take-Two Interactive and development of Gearbox Software and 2K Australia.
The Borderlands franchise is currently available across PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, an PC platforms (as well as Borderlands 2 for PS Vita). The “Remastered” subtitle seems to hint at the series coming to new-generation consoles.
Stay tuned. An announcement might not be far off.
Thanks, NeoGAF.

There's also a limited edition, too.

2K and Gearbox also revealed a Claptrap-in-a-Box Edition of the game available for pre-order, with 5,000 units to be made available worldwide. The Claptrap-in-a-Box Edition includes a copy of The Handsome Collection, a remote controlled Claptrap steward, steel case, and 12 lithographs.

No word on price for that one yet.

I wonder why didn't include the first one, just make it a full collection.

yeah, kind of odd they didn't include the 1st one.

My guess is they probably felt that was too much content for a $60 package. Im surprised they didnt do a 1/2 collection and then Pre-sequel later if thats the case

I remember when three games in remasters used to be standard. I guess it's sort of a two at most thing now.

there havent been many collections this gen. The Halo and Metro are the only ones I can think of unless someone can remind me of others. Halo had 4 games and Metro well, only has 2 in the series

Collections are rarer now, it seems, since developers are going to be releasing more single games as remasters (Wind Waker HD, Last of Us, DmC, DMC4, feel like there's at least one more I'm forgetting...). If there's a Gears collection, I expect it'll have at least the first three games, though.

EDIT: Duh, GTAV of course is the one I couldn't recall. There was also Sleeping Dogs, and I noticed Saints Row IV in the Xbox Store earlier. Lots of solo remasters this gen so far.

Damn, 400 bucks for that though. I wouldn't even spend 400 bucks on a CE for a franchised I loved.
