Here's the challenge:

Edit together clips from the Adam West batman show into a trailer that actually makes the show look cool and epic.

The best one wins.

go!

Me no have software for this. It'd be just as interesting to see footage from that show edited to make it seem like it has a serious tone.

Fine, I'll do it... This won't be easy. Post some good music if you have some.

get me the 60's show and I'll edit it damn it :o

well here it is at last. Don't click with high expectations. I know I could have tried harder with it but I'm not that dissatisfied with the result. It's better than all of WormyT's stuff at least.

about getting the show. Bless the internet. If you have a fast connection there are many a ways to find this brilliant show...

i need this tire repair device! now!

or at least the shark repellent.

really good work so far

what i didn´t like was the music, although it added a serious touch to the whole thing. but maybe you could use a more eventful piece of music.

damn, when is this show going to be released on DVD?

Wes, it could definitely be a lot more serious.

If I had the RAM on my computer, this is a project I'd LOVE to tackle. I'd even use Elfman's music.

Batman surfing, the tire repair, Bats & Robin shaking hands and them climbing on the side of the buildings is what takes away the seriousness. But it was almost plausible for sure. I liked how when they were walking up the buildings every step synchronized with the music. Only thing missing was a head bob or neck break for every step they took.

Yeah it's an incredible challenge... as you all noticed I just went ahead and added some silly stuff for the hell of it.

One cool thing I noticed was that Adam West is one huge intimidating guy when he's beating the **** out of some goon. I never noticed how truly great he would have been as a serious take on batman until now. No wonder he was unhappy about not being cast for the burton movie. he really embodies the role 100%.

Yes, I think he's my favorite of the accurate Bruce Waynes. He wasn't acting too cheeky during the Wayne scenes.

But he was too old by 1989, unless they were going for DKR, which they weren't.

I've decided to go ahead and give it a whirl with Windows Movie Maker 2. I had a video editing class before, so it'll look all right, but will it capture the mood I want? I've already started writing the script. It's going to be sort-of a minute-long TV promo ending with "This Fall". Using the Elfman music and I'm scouring the episodes to get material that fits the mood I want.

I've tried torrents but cant find one that works :cmad:

whoa, makes mine look like crap. nicely done.

I laughed everytime West came on screen. Sorry Wes, that resquest is impossible.

God, When will they release this on DVD?

Here's mine. Not amazingly fancy, there are better ones, but I like some ideas I got across in the video.

The editing could be a little bit tighter in a few spots toward the end, but I wanted to pad the music. I was afraid that too many edits in the music would show, but I wanted this thing to be like a teaser.

A 2.0 version is possible when I get better with this new program (Ulead Media 8, I'm used to older versions of Premiere).

That said, I did have a lot of fun with it. So here you are, Wesyeed. The second entry in your contest. ;)

Also, keep in mind that I rendered it in anamorphic widescreen, so Youtube will probably destroy the ratio...

It's hilarious when batman's revealed standing there cape spread... not so easy to make this appear serious is it...

It works for me.

I dunno, I guess being a fan of the show since a very young child, I don't just laugh at every frame of it.

Teh c0olneszz

If it was a bit shorter it would've came across a lot tighter but not bad for something you put together so quick. I liked the way the music blended with Bruce's dialogue and the shot of him on his chair that came across as epic and the inclusion of the FOX logo was a nice touch.

Anyway I wish I had software and time to give this a go but I don't however I was trying to see if I could find some other videos that took on this idea. Instead I came across this

still serious in it's own way :woot:
