It will end at number 5 which is pretty good for it. Potter, Narnia and Kong will fight for the 2-4 spots.

King Kong is a big disappointment in its first two days of release.

i just dont get it, everyone who's seen it loves it

People are gonna watch it, relax. Jesus not everyone rushes out to watches a flick first two days of releases some time. Besides people do other things in the holidays than hit the cineplex but they will watch it. I saw it last night, not bad at all btw.

what would you rate it out of 10?

Like I can see how the movie was made quickly (IMO) there's a lot of CGI/Blue Screen but Jackson's direction is really good. Particularly the scenes on the Island and in the Jungle

does the ending make you cry? :(

Not really. It might for others. Only thing that annoyed me was that in the Screen I was watching there were some families who had like 6, 7 or 8 year olds talking in front and behind are row. Like at one point during what was meant to be this intense scene when there at Island, this 6 year old jumps up and screams "I don't like it". And these other kids were sarcastically clapping when Kong dies at the end.

thats why i'm going to wait to see this movie

It's like the end of 2005 and there's a back log of flicks I need to see before the year ends that came out

I saw King Kong today (and was alone in the theatre, by the way) and thought it was okay, nothing more. Visually spectacular, yes, but three hours was a little bit too long. Some people says three hours makes more room for character development bla, bla, bla. Well, I didn't see much character development. Some character establishment in the beginning, but not much development later; once on the island it was a typical monster movie with a lot of running and screaming and not much else. Some of the action was cool, especially Kong's fight with the T-rexes, but for some reason I found other stuff a little silly; the fight with all those big insects gave me vibes of watching a b-movie. But overall there were more I liked than disliked and I would give it 3 out of 5
