Box office discussion

At this rate, can Brave New World even hit the $200 million mark in its entire run in North America?

I think the "Captain America name" makes it sound more bad when it underperforms, compare to an Ant-Man movie. Its just a shame how Captain America performed bigger with every outing from 2011 to 2016. 9 years later, who knows how low it can go in North America/global box office?

I googled what Ne Zha 2 is. I thought it was some live action fantasy movie. But its an animation movie.

Not bad for Cap A : BNW in all consideration. Taking into account, re-shoots, passing of torch, slight backlash against MCU in general.

Ne Zha 2 enters top 10 of highest grossing movies of all time and should become the highest grossing animated movie later this week

Brave New World outgrossed The Marvels' entire North American gross in 3 days.

However I'm kinda worried for Thunderbolts* and Fantastic 4. I feel like we won't see a higher opening weekend than BNW until Doomsday. I hope Thunderbolts* and Fantastic 4 can at least clear $100 million in North America, if they don't do well at the box office.

I can’t see Thunderbolts doing that well (more Marvels box office) but Fantastic Four has the potential to break out.

lol every time I see these headlines I feel like this movie came out of some multiverse that nowhere but China knows about.

It must be dropping screens quite considerably now, but guaranteed Disney keeps Mufasa around long enough so it passes $250m domestic.
That & a $700m+ WW finish is a decent return given where it started.

Not really. It still underperformed compare to the 2019 movie.

Thunderbolts has the advantage of the first weekend of May. I'm not sure if there are big movies coming out in April? But the low key hype for the movie won't help the Fantastic 4.

The Fantastic 4 is coming out weeks after Jurassic World and Superman, and could easily get lost in the competition.
