Cool.

If they do a black Zodak like the 2002 series, should they use Christopher Judge, who did his voice in the 2002 series as his live action counterpart?

Don't believe anything you read in The Sun. Nobody in Britain does. It is a notorious tabloid that prints mainly fictional celebrity gossip.

Very true. The Sun is about as reliable as a compulsive liar.

Anyway...Brad Pitt as He-Man...NOPE!!! He look right out of place in Troy and would look even worse as He-Man. I think the best bet would be to find a nobody.

I thought he was pretty good in Troy. Why not He-Man?

Besides, He-Man is one of those characters that anyone can play.

I concur with your disagreement - if anything, He-Man is just about one of the most difficult roles you can find to cast.

There are plenty of guys in the world who will look the part, but cant act worth a $hit.

The problem is finding one who can.

This is true.

pitt is too old

Somehow, I think even Brad himself would agree:-

'Now 43, the Hollywood actor is content with his life. Growing older is a bit of an annoyance, but he’s getting through that too.

“I liked it,” he says of turning 40. “Maybe I had a crisis earlier or something. Maybe I had it in my thirties.” He adds, “One thing sucks, your face kind of goes. Your body’s not quite working the same. But you earned it. You earned that, things falling apart.”'

A 40 year old He-Man?

No thanks.....................

Last I heard, the new He-man movie was killed. I don't think this information is accurate.

He would be good. He was good in TROY.

That's actually pretty awesome. Makes me think he could pull it off..

But what about Frank Langella? Would anyone here like to see him as Skeletor again. I definitely would! What does everyone here think?

Yay He-Man! But Brad Pitt? he is a good actor but he is approching his mid 40's now and i dont know if he could pull of the young hero of Eternia especialy since he is also ment to be a young prince too, unless theres going to be two actors one for prince adam and one for He-Man which would make the movie very Captain Marvel-esk. MAKE CRINGER TALK!!!

I'd like to know how Jack Kirbys work was an influence for the He-Man movie?

Even if Brad Pitt weren't approaching his mid-40s, he'd still be nowhere near large enough for He-Man. He-Man is supposed to look like a giant among men, Pitt is only 5'11" and all the creative camera angles in the world can't really change that, it's better to just get someone who's naturally taller than him. When Pitt was younger he might have worked as Prince Adam, the younger and shorter alter ego, but definitely not as He-Man.

Frank Langella was a spectacular Skeletor and it's going to be hard topping him.

How would you like it if he reprised his role? I'd love to see that!
Hey, if they ask him and he's up for it, then by all means, let him be Skeletor again! And get Dolph Lundgren, the previous He-Man, to play King Randor, father of He-Man.

I'm a fan of the Dolphmeister - so any suggestion of his involvement in the movie gets a big  from me.

Dolph is underrated.

Would anyone here be willing to accept Alan Ritchson (Aquaman on "Smallville") as He-Man?

EDIT: Holy crap that pic wasn't nearly as big when I used Google Image search.

Lol. I know what you mean - I found the same pic and you assume it's normal size but when you save it, it's huge!!

Anyways, Ritchson certainly has the physical ingedients, his build (his Aquaman put Superman to shame on Smallville - that just shouldnt happen), is blonde and in the last pic below, facially, damn that's He-Man, straight outa the cartoon (he's a bit younger there, I know).

So physically he's set; but does he have the acting talent? I have to admit, I only saw that Smallville episode once, and I seemed to think he was pretty decent, but I can't help wondering why they replaced him for the Aquaman pilot. Where there doubts about his acting?

Not sure why they didn't want use Ritchson as Aquaman for "Mercy Reef", since he has all the physical ingredients to be Aquaman, just as he does for He-Man (tall, muscular, blonde, blue eyed). The funny thing is the guy they were gonna replace him with, Justin Harltey (who wound up playing Green Arrow on Smallville) is like 5 years older than Ritchson, yet he would still be playing the young Aquaman. Funny old world.

So anyway, if Ritchson were cast as He-Man I could work with it, even if he is a little younger looking than I'd prefer He-Man to be. But that all leads us back to the underlying problem with casting He-Man: He-Man has to look like a force of nature, like a God among men. People can bash Dolph Lundgren all they want, but no one can deny that Dolph had that powerful God-Among-Men physique, and that's a big component in the He-Man character. I imagine they had the same problem when casting for Conan the Barbarian back in 1982 - it wouldn't be enough to just cast a tall actor and tell him to work out, they needed someone who had spent YEARS building himself up, enter a then 35 year old Arnold Schwarzenegger (and we all saw where he went from there).

Another topic to consider: who should direct this gigantic film? The knee jerk suggestion no doubt is Peter Jackson of Lord of the Rings, but I don't know if they could get him. Zach Snyder impressed the Hell out of me with 300, so if they could get him I'd be totally down with that. One guy I talked to actually suggested Mel Gibson.

Back to the topic of casting - Famke Janssen for either Queen Marlena or the Sorceress of Castle Grayskull.

that dude is buff but not enough we need a massive steroid freak
