I think Driver would be a much better fit for The Joker in this universe than he would be for Batman.

Lee Pace is the most probable and I think he has that goofy look in his face that other suggestions like Dornan and Heughan don't have.

He might be a bit too young for what they're looking for, but I know Luke Kleintank (The Man in the High Castle) was a name people tossed out for The Batman before Pattinson was cast.

I love Groff a lot and I was the first one to fancast him back when The Batman was casting, but idk if he's necessarily the right pick for a Batman like this. He's in the right age range but his face is still boyish looking so casting a Bat-Family around him, especially Nightwing and Jason Todd would be really hard. Also very secondary since even though Gunn said he wouldn't actively be trying to /not/ be Matt Reeves, I do think there's an argument to be masw he's a bit too close to Pattinson.

Mind you I'd be very happy if he got cast though.

Driver is the one that feels very very unrealistic to me. Putting aside i think he's a bad visual choice, looking at his career I really don't think he'd want to commit to playing Batman for 10 years in as many things as Gunn will want him to.

The rest I agree with and feel realistic.

Too be honest, i really dont know who should play Batman right now.

Yeah, I'm still searching for an actor who feels as right for the role as Corenswet does for Superman; but I'm not quite there yet.

That said, Dornan, Heughan, Powell and Peck all make for solid contenders thus far. Gruff gets a NO from me, though. Can't stand that dude.

What are Heughan's acting chops like? I don't watch Outlander. But he looks like a comic book character (not necessarily Batman — but a comic book character in general) come to life. And those types tend to be a bit wooden in my experience. Granted, I'm not expecting an actor of Pattinson's caliber, but it'd be nice to know that he's got some range should the story call for it.

He's not gonna give you an Academy Award worthy performance but I think you'd get something on par with the standard MCU fair.

As long as he's better than Cavill, I'm good. MCU fare is pretty much what I expect from the Gunnverse.

Not all my fave choices but I like the vibe you’re going for. Known actors but not household names.

Then Gunn should make it real because it's really great casting.

Evans deserves a mainline role. Very underrated actor.
